My son, who will turn 6 about 3 weeks before we go, loves Stitch. He loves the show and he loves the "experiments".

Will this show be to scary for a 6 year old who loves Stitch. He is not as afraid of the dark as he used to be, and I have told him it'll be dark and that the harness comes over his head...but I've never been in this attraction, so I don't know what to expect other than that.

Can someone give me a run down, and let me know what others around this age thought??

Thanks so much! I can't wait to go! Yipee!

My youngest son also loves Stitch. He did this ride last year when he was 6. Unfortunately, it's a pretty lame ride. They could have done soo much better with this. It does get quite dark and there are some bad smells released during the ride when Stitch burps. My son was not scared and enjoyed seeing Stitch but we didn't do it again. If your son loves Stitch, I'd recommend doing Ohana for breakfast. Stitch is there with Lilo and Hawaiian Mickey. Great food, Great fun!
Enjoy!:goodvibes

I think its a very cute use of the animatronic and robotic technology.

My DD was almost 5 when she rode Stitch, and now it's one of her favorite rides. If your son is prepared for the darkness and the harness, he should be fine. And don't tell him about the burping part -- that's a surprise I'm sure he'll love!

If you were ever on the Alien Encounter you'll know what Stitch is like. There really isn't much difference between the two, except for the characters.

My 6 year old twins really liked this attraction when they went on it last week. I didn't go on it this time, but they said that Stitch also spit on them. So, it might surprise your son if he gets squirted with water in the dark. If your son is the average six year old that like gross stuff, burping and spitting... he should be fine.

My son loves Stitch also. He was 4 when he went on it and had no problems. I personally think this is the worst attraction at WDW and would never wait to see it again. I'm a huge Disney fan and love everything else at the World. The seats are extremely uncomfortable and the attraction really doesn't do anything.

I have never been on/in Stitch, or predecessor Alien, but did want to stop and say hello, Leah, great to see you again.

I took a 3 year old niece and she was having a great time until the lights went out, then she was getting nervous....I told her that Stitch was playing a joke on us and she got over it pretty quick.

Kids probably like it better than adults, although it does get quite dark. I think if you warn him of some of the effects, including how dark it gets, he should be fine.

Hubby and I hated it ourselves. What bothered me the most was the harnesses and when they had Stitch "jump" on them as he tried to make his escape. That really hurt my shoulders.

As long as you give him a heads up about the darkness, harness, etc., I think he will love it.

At least he has a warning about the overhead harness. I had never been on Alien Encounter, so when I walked in the Stitch room and seen that harness, my Grandmother and I were freaking out because we don't go on rides that require a harness cause they usually spin or something really rough.:rotfl2: We almost left cause that thing made us nervous, but we figured it must serve some other purpose.

Thanks for the replies - just what I was looking for! I think we'll go for it.

(hi dan!)

I think the scariest thing might be the pitch darkness at one point and the harness contraption. Let him know about these ahead of time and he'll be okay.

I think the puff of air that accompanies the burp (YUCK) might startle some kids.

If your child is in to "gross out" humor...as most kids are...this ride will be a hit. I personally was ready to vomit about a minute in. I also think that with the heat and humidity in the atmosphere the impact of Stitch's hot stinky breath in your face is a little overwhelming.

ack, I'm gagging just thinking about it!:crazy2:
