Stitch worth going to???

I went to the AP Sneak Preview and thought it was just the alien experience with a different character... with stinky chili dog breath.

I liked it but then I have never done Alien. I think you owe it to yourself to try it and decide for yourself.

See it once. It was terrible. But since few people are going multiple times, there'll be no line and you might as well see it for yourself this way you can write a bad review, too...

I don't know if I would go so far as to say it's terrible. It's not great either. It's cute. I think it's worth checking it out at least once for yourself unless the wait is very long. If it can work in your plans try to get there first thing at park opening before there's a wait so you don't feel like you wasted too much time in case you're disappointed. That's what we did and I'm glad we got to see it. But I'm also glad we didn't wait 30 minutes.

I didn't like it at all. I had never seen Alien Encounter and didn't know what to expect really but part of it freaked me out a bit, but I used to have panic attacks now and then so maybe I'm special :earseek:. Also the smell almost made me throw up, it really is awful! Although there again, it's supposed to be. There was a little boy sitting next to me that explained things to me before it went dark, he was so cute. He really enjoyed himself, you could tell.

I did not really enjoy the Stitch experience, however, I do believe that it is worth doing. In fact I will go back and do it again. I really enjoyed the preshow.
Over the years I find that every new ride takes a few times before the enjoyment kicks in. Maybe I am a purist: I like the rides that no longer exist more than anything. However I am really starting to enjoy the newer rides also.

I believe with all things everyone should try it for themselves no matter what others think. Try it. Then decide for yourself if you liked it or not.

Having said that, we did not like it and will not be going out of our way to experience it again. I really wish there was someone outside asking what we thought when we exited the ride so I could tell them what I thought of it. It needs improvement and I feel it could be improved.

Not much of a story, confusing and anti-climatic ending.

Our 5 year old cried the whole time because of the pitch darkness, loudness and getting a little wet. Our 8 year old said it was ok.

We did Alien once in 1998 before we had kids. We thought it was alright, not bad. But we never got to do it again, I guess it wasn't great enough to wait in line either but at least it all made sense and there was a decent story and ending.

I was just wondering - For those of you that didn't like it did you enjoy Alien or you didn't like that either. We enjoyed Alien but I know alot of preople didn't. Can you tell me if they still have the same soundtrack, We loved the line about the Mother-in-law", That would crack us up each time. Thanks, Gina

I liked it, but then I liked the alien encounter too and it is similar, but less intense and scary. THe alien encounter just cracked me up. Stitch is a minor redo with really the only major change is stitch replaces the alien and they added some laser guns. I would say try it for sure. They did change the sound track and the mother in law comment is gone. SOrry funhouse.

i am sorry is this is off subject, but to Safetymom or any one, i could not get into the disboards at all for a few days. i always logged into www.disneyfan.com. so i have been going NUTS and also driving my dd crazy. did i miss something, or maybe our cable was messed up. finally i found www.disboards.com. i was so confused by this...............but sooooooooooo glad i found this site. thanks, sorry for the interuption.........Thank you

Did anyone else think the seats were really uncomfortable? I couldn't wait to get out of there, only because of that! (PS, I never did AE, I'm sure they're the same seats!)

i always remembered from alien encounter to put my hands on my shoulders to stop the bars from coming down and restraining me so tightly. that's what i did when i saw stitch on 10/31. couldn't wait for stitch to open and was extremely dissappointed after seeing it.

My kids thought very little of this ride, and didn't want to try it again even though it was a walk on with no line when we came out.

My son, age 9, thought it was not scary enough, while my daughter, age 6, thought it was too scary. I thought it was alright, but certainly not memorable.

.

I did the Stitch ride the day after opening (EE at MK made this one a walk-on). I liked it a lot. I felt it had a better design and better "plot" than most of MK rides. My 4-yr old DD LOVED it. She went on it twice in a row because we had to do a baby swap.

If you like Stitch, you'll like the ride. If you haven't seen Stitch or if you don't like Stitch, then this ride wouldn't be for you. It's the same for all the rides at MK. If someone didn't know the story of Snow White, that ride would be terrible.

Also loved the "mother-in-law" line from Alien Encounter.

I liked Alien Encounter, but was okay with the fact that this attraction was switching to a Stitch theme, since he is one of my new favorite characters.

We went on Stitich on Saturday, Nov 13. The park was very busy, and we got a Fast Pass about noon, which instruction us to come back between 8:30 and 9:30 pm (and most likely missign SpectroMagic).

I was excited to see it and figured it would be worth missing the parade. When we presented our Fast Pass, the standby wait was up to 75 minutes. I'm not sure what they were doign with the attraction (my assumption was that they were running one group in from the pre-show area, to the second pre-show area and then to the attraction itself all before letting another group in) since our wait was at least 20 minutes, after getting right to the front with our Fast Pass.

I would encourage you to try this for yourself, but I was severly disappointed with the attraction. I don't really see it being more child-friendly than AE. After going on it once, I woudl never wait more than 15 to do this again. IMO, there is not really a storyline, and the affects are no where near AE.

And the line about the MIL - definitely missing!!!

We were there for opening day on 11/16 (the day Stitch tp'ed the castle..) and rode twice. We first went to get a fp and then saw the line was short so we did the line then did the fp later. Our family loves Stitch and that's why we went twice but I think it could be much better. It's not BAD, but not something I would rush back to ride again.

We got to experience Stitch on Nov 17. The animatronic was impressive. Stitch's "escape" sequence was a little difficult to follow mostly because of Stitch's gibberish language that makes it difficult to understand him. I thought it was cute. I LOVED AE and thought that it was much more exhilarating. But it was much more scary. This was a really tamed down version of it with a cute little Stitch stealing a chili dog. I think it is designed for little ones that just want to see Stitch and won't really follow a story.

DH hated it and hates Stitch. I'm not sure why. He hasn't even seen the movie. Oh, well. Even so, this one will be on my list of attractions to see every trip. But it will probably be a single-see rather than a multiple-see.

On this trip, we went on MS 5 times, TT 4 times, RNR 4 times, and TOT 4 times. These are multiple-sees for us.

I suggest that everyone see it at least once.

Our family just got back. We attended this attraction twice. The first time was just our family. We thought it was ok, nothing that great or that awful........just ok. After I had been anxiously waiting the opening I was disappointed a bit, honestly. The second time that the "rode" the attraction was with our friends that we met in MK. It was their first time to WDW and the parks. We took them on Stitch and they HATED it!!!!!!!!!! They were sickened by the smell and hated everything else about it too.

We just got back from 8 days in WDW and we never got to see Stitch. We tried three different days, but the attraction was down every time. We are pretty bummed, especially since we took my DBIL with us and he is a huge Stitch fan.
