Stitch Items from Booking Hotel at Parks

With all the talk about the Stitch hat over on the Fan Site I went and made my reservation. My Grandmother lives in West Hollywood I like to go visit her every few years and planned to this spring with the DLR celebration going on I definately wanted to visit the parks for a few days. I can combine a DLR trip with that visit.

I booked it tonight. Four nights at the Grand Californian Hotel for me and my DD. I asked about the Stitch code and the girl that took the reservation knew nothing about it. She did some looking for me.

So far it is all rumor. I can confirm that at 9:30 this evening there was no stitch code being given with a DLR reservation.

Now all I have to do is find the time for the trip!

I was wondering if it had to be booked through Disney Travel? Does it say anywhere how you get that Stitch Hat? I haven't found anything in writing. We have DVC, so we always book through member services. It would be too bad if we could never get it because we own the Disney time share!

We should be going to DLR around March 12. If you will be there in that time frame, I would love to meet you!! Not sure the exact date right now. I should know in a week or so. We are flying home to TX tomorrow due to a death in the family, and I will find out while we are there (we are meeting family at DLR also).

I was in the plaza one day with that particular CL and some staff, they were not going to tell how she got the hat but they all stated she had not gotten the stitch hat through booking a vacation. So until the official word is out, ( meaning someone out there actually got the hat and through a particular means ) I would just chuck it all up to rumor. Remember staff and even yavn always throws us for a loop!

Actually Nanoer no she DID NOT book a trip and get the hat!

I pressed her on this until she finally gave me an answer yesterday...she was given this hat by staff she did not get it by booking a trip although she is telling everyone that is how you WILL be able to get it.

So far it is all just a VMK rumor.

That was my guess, that it had to be booked via the Walt Disney Travel Co.
I think it would be nice for us DVC members to get VMK swag, too.

If you think about it I honestly doubt that the person that takes a reservation will be reading a code. Too much time and how easy would it be for people to write the code down wrong resulting in more calls to Disney where Disney isn't making any more money.

I am also really hoping that they are awarding one set of cards for each member of your family. With me it is just me and my DD but just think of the fights in a family where everyone plays VMK

My best guess is cards are going to be included in the reservation paper work that we get after making a reservation.

When I made the reservation the girl who did it gave the name of a person she called the "VMK geek" she said he would know about the hat. So I am going to call back today.

You know that pin isn't straight so it is really difficult to tell what it is on it.

I don't know what is worse the pins that are not straight or the hotel pins that are just blurry...or is it my mew glasses?

Also, remember there are a few of us who live close enough to Disneyland to be able to drive over for a meet! So if anyone is planning a trip and would like to meet some Dis'ers please let us know!

Someone has said they are recieving a Stitch hat for booking with the Disney Californian Hotel. Is that true? If so I've booked with the Disneyland Hotel do I still get one? I'm going in April.

Nevermind I just found out! You have to book through the Disney Company (which I did) and request one! Yay I'm getting a stitch hat. I'm calling back tomorrow to see if I can request one for each person in our party .
