Stitch Items from Booking Hotel at Parks

Awww, if this is true then I'm going to be one sad stitch hatter wanter. (Lol) My family is planning to go to WDW in April, I thought you could get it by booking in a disney hotel/resort.

My mom wants to go to the animal kingdom lodge and my dad and I want to go to the Polynesian-Oh well, I guess I was hoping for too much! Maybe VMK, will bring them out on sale. (Hopefully!) :rolleyes:
 
It is my understanding about the Stitch Package is that you book a Hotel through WDW travel and request the VMK package you will receive a code for the Stitch Hat, A stitch pin, and a blue suitcase when you have paid your reservation...whether that is just the deposit or not I am not sure.

I spoke with two different representatives from Walt Disney Travel Company (I currently have a paid-in-full reservation for April, but have not received my tickets yet) and both put me on hold for quite a while to find out about this and both came back to say that it is currently not a promotion and that I should contact VMK to find out when the promotion begins. :confused3

we will be making ressies for july soon (as soon as my parent pick a hotel, i tell you it is not that hard :sad2: ), though like in a week to a month. I really think the hat is scary but heck it is very cool. :wizard: giving some magic and hopefully bringing the hat to WDW soon. :teeth:
 
my reservation was made along time ago...i will not get it

i will have to play the sad vmk person role and hope it works :)

Wow, the receptionest on the phone still had NO idea what VMK was.
 
Are us WDW people out of the loop in these stitch item or not. I will be going to WDW next month and i was wondering i will be geting them. No on at WDW is gonna know only the vmk people. Any information apreciated.

This is confusing. I booked on Disneyland.com and the first representative I talked to said it is availible but when I called back to ask for enough for everyone she said she did not know what VMK was and that there was no such hat when I was on hold. Someone help me clear this up? Is it just a rumor?
 
It seems like different people know different things. I guess not every disney representative will know about the stitch promotion, so i say calling until you get someone who knows about it :)
 
I am getting on the phone right now with WDW to make our December reservations. I will press and press until I get word about the hat and pin and let you all know! :)



EDIT: I just got off of the phone with WDW Travel/Reservations. We booked our trip! :Pinkbounc :banana: :cheer2: :woohoo: :hyper: :tongue: :wave: Let the countdown begin! I can't even describe the amount of excitement I have inside for this! pixiedust:

Anyway, I asked the reservationist about the Virtual Magic Kingdom prize code. She thought originally it was something else from what I could gather as she said it was done randomly and would appear. I explained it a third time and talked about the VMK website to which she said they did not receive any information about it at all. I said that it was something I heard would be going into effect this week and asked if I should call back to ask about it. She said that I could do that and they would help as best as they could if they had further information.

So, :scratchin there you go, straight from the horse's mouth...they have never received information about this, but are willing to add it to your package once info comes about.
 
Lets hope they know something about it this week. I ran into (I don't remember the first part of her name) WDW with the stitch hat, on her signature it says get this hat from booking and trip. I explained to her I booked a trip and the receptionist did not know what vmk was and then she just disapeared like she was hiding something :scratchin .
 
Unfortunately, this appears to be the problem with Customer Service in general. Not to bash Disney Reservationists - but I see this in my workplace. Some CSR (Customer Service Reps) have more information than others. The VMK Stitch Items may not have been fully communicated as to the staff. While that is sad, it does happen. I have had to call one well known Customer Service, three times just to try and get the answer that I was looking for. My suggestion to those who have made reservations, keep your info available and call at least once a week to see if they have any details. While it is a pain, you will eventually get what you are looking for.
