Stinky Refrigerator Nightmare - Someone PLEASE help!

I hate bad smells!!! I feel your pain!!!

Couple weeks ago we made shrimp for dinner and apparently some of the juice from the bag of fresh shrimp had leaked into the fridge! Well, it was only the next day when we realized it and the stench was aweful!!!!!!!!!! We cleaned out the fridge, the smell was soaking into everything in the fridge! Still smelled it and then found a crevice at the bottom where the juice had run into!! We used vinegar, baking soda and then left several bricks of charcoal in the fridge!! It is Finally gone!!

Sorry, but for the length of time that it was in the fridge on your vacation you may have to buy that new fridge!! Know I would.

Borax is another idea. I bought a box after I read it does a great job on removing mold smells. I sprinkled some in the basement and the smell is better.

After Charley we have had alot of the smelly fridge syndrome here

The news paper ran an article theat said
Clean well
fill with damp news paper and let sit over night
chang paper every day or so and keep it up till the oder is gone

I did it with my small freezer and it did work took days and days though.
