Still torn: WL std CL vs YC std CL

This trip, it's me, my 20 year old DS, my 19 year old DD, and a 19 year old friend. I love the location of the YC, and thought their CL was fine, but am drawn to the quiet of WL. We have never done CL there, so this will be a first. I haven't done any CL trips for quite some time so don't really know what they've been like lately. Pricing is pretty similar, with YC coming in slightly cheaper with the Disney+ discount. We will be there six nights, we are coming to drop my DD off for her DCP. We are planning to do mostly parks with an occasional afternoon for relaxing at the resort. We only have a couple dining reservations, and are planning on eating mostly CS. Which resort would you choose?

Depends which parks, because the YC proximity can’t be beat if you’re spending fewer days at MK. I’ve never stayed at WL but it’s on my list because it does seem nice and quiet, so if you’re going for a more peaceful vibe choose that one. If you want chill but not totally dead choose YC.

I would do YC, hands-down, particularly as it's cheaper than WL. You will get a bigger room and better proximity to parks. You will also have a better pool for teens/adults (WL pool is very small) and better access to restaurants and lounges. In years past, WL CL was, IMHO, the biggest bang for your CL buck - you used to be able to get a std WL CL room for about the same price as a standard room on the monorail - not anymore it seems! It's not worth spending more on a smaller room with poorer amenity and park access.

Does anyone know the size difference in the two rooms?
The WL rooms are approximately 344 sq ft while the YC CL rooms are closer to 380. The club level rooms at the Wilderness Lodge are on the top floor of the building and have dormer balconies. These rooms feel smaller because of the sloping roof. I love the WL club lounge but I am not a fan of the rooms.

The balcony wall is approximately chest high and you have to stand to see out of it. The second picture shows the dormer rooms from the outside. You can see how they are buried into the roof.

I love both resorts. Lounge, staff, amenities are great. The only negatives I can think of are:

WL: smaller rooms without couch/daybed. Boxed-in balconies.

YC: some Standard view rooms  share the same balcony. Garden view rooms are difficult to get, and all the Water view rooms, that I was assigned to, had terrible views

YC has far superior transportation. Getting back to WL from anywhere but MK can be an ordeal with the buses. At least YC has quick access to Epcot and HS, and maybe even MK if you plan your hopper right through Epcot.

I am not a fan of the WL theming, probably because I live in it. I don't perceive it as Florida or Disney.
