Hi Tricia, Judi, Heather, Bex, Angie, & Wilma!!! Hope everyone else comes back too!! Gosh I've missed you all!

Same old same old here--- just yard work & home improvement projects. Can't believe how quickly this summer has gone by! We have one last hurrah vacation to Emerald Isle scheduled Aug 28-Sept 4th. Can't wait!
We went to Gatlinburg in July too! We camped in Great Smoky National Park. Let's just say it was a trip straight out of National Lampoon's. Torrential rain, three-legged dogs, neighboring campers that were obviously fugitives from the law... DH has requested our next camping trip take place at a Hilton Garden.

Tricia, so sorry to hear about Gracie. Don't you wish our pets lived as long as we do? So hard...

Angie, I have missed you! Food and wine fest is a lot of fun, I think it would be more fun without the kids though. The garden has almost taken over our lives lately. Its great though and I will be thankful this winter!

Wilma, have a great vacation! Hope BamBam feels better and does not pass it to anyone else.

Heather, we didn't get to Disney this year. We did a week in the Upper Pennisula in July, Spring Break in Mammoth Caves and we are heading to Ohio next week.

Judi, rally the troups! Mike Modano is a Red Wing! That is very exciting to me.

Shannon, yikes that is a camping trip to remember! We camped a week in at Tahquamenon Falls, but we have a camper and did not tent it. Lots of people did though, I like my own personal toilet at 2 am after a bottle of wine.

Tricia, I thought of you today when I received a 30% off Kohls coupon in the mail. You will love Kohls!

Joey is officially registered in Kinder and I asked about teachers and the one he had last year was transfered to a different school and all the current teachers are experienced...yay

The PTA ladies there asked me if I was going to cry when I dropped him off.....I just looked at them and said NOOOO.....lmao. They have a BooHoo club the first day of school in the library....they invited me anyway

Shannon!!! Hey girl! How have you been? Sounds like you are loving your new house. Your camping trip sounds very interesting. I think we need details. We used to tent camp all the time when we lived in Colorado, but after hearing all kinds of critters sniffing our tent in the middle of the night I've decided I need a camper!

Bex-I've missed you, too! Every time I hear about Chicago I think about our trip. Did they ever tear down that scary rickety old train station? I can't tell you how jealous I am of your garden. I need a homegrown tomato fix. I'm going to try and grow my own next year. We just have to start them earlier and get varieties that mature earlier.

Judi-thanks for the Hunk day pic. Something tells me you have a thing for firefighters-does Mr. Judi know?

Tricia-I can't believe Louisiana is getting hit with another disaster! I don't know how people will recover from this. Is Kelsie going to LSU?

The BooHoo Club is having muffins and juice the first day of school. I did cry at his PreK graduation. They need to have a BooHoo meeting the last day of school...thats when we really need it. rofl

I would so be in that Library. I cried when all my kids went to school for the first time. Sadly I think I'm going to cry a lot more when I leave Kelsie at college than I did when she went to Kindergarten.

Is Kelsie going to LSU?

No she didn't even want to tour LSU because of it's size. She does have lots of friends going there so I know she'll be doing some tailgating for the LSU football games. She's going to UL (University of Louisiana).

Judi have you gotten use to Cole driving yet? I still say a little prayer every time Kelsie leaves the house. Will this parenting thing ever get an easier?

Hugs Tricia. Dropping your child off at college is a whole different ballgame than grade school. At least she isnt so far you cant see her often...and hopefully the separation gets easier with time. And shhhh dont tell anyone but if I lingered at the school when I drop joey off I would prolly cry. I have to drop and go. I dont like long goodbyes. We have kid free parent night next week and then meet the teacher for the kids so the first day of school is a quick drop and go.

Thankfully the tropical depression that was coming straight for us has been downgraded to a remnant low but they are still calling for a day of rain. Happy Friday Sassies! I will be partaking in a show and lunch at Turkeyville. I've never been and that would have been fine with me, but my grandma wants to go and I do what my grandma says!

Judi, no go on the cat. Speck like small furry things to play with, but ends up killing them. The woodchuck never saw it coming! I had a cat like that as a kid. She always put the severed mouse heads in my bed.
