Still Sassy after all this time!

Good morning sassies!

My kids are off of school today because it's the end of the third nine weeks already. Teachers have to turn their grades in and report cards come home next week. Summer will be here before you know it.

Kendall has a cheer competition this weekend. We are leaving around lunch time today and will spend the weekend will lots of overly excited 12 to 14 year olds. They had what they call a "show off" on Wednesday night for all the parents, grandparents, friends etc. at the school and I just about died when I saw how high they threw Kendall up in the air for a basket toss without any mats on the floor. :sad2: She is so excited and of course I'm excited for her.

As part two of yesterday's QOTD I thought I'd ask the opposite of the name brands question. What store brand things do you buy most often?
I always buy store brand milk, some ceraels, Pop Tarts (the girls only eat the Pop Tart brand but Colin only likes the store brand) :confused3 paper plates unless it's for a party than I get the sassy ones, tomato sauce and paste, and pasta. I'm sure there are plenty more but that's what comes to mind for now.

Responding one day late, but here it is!

I buy the store brand canned apricots (my boys inhale them!), frozen waffles, and cheese most often. Thought provoking question, Tricia! I haven't thought about what I buy at the grocery store in a long while - I just seem to fly in there, scoop some stuff up for the next day or two, and fly out!
Good luck Kendall, and take your earplugs, Tricia!;)

Good morning Sassies! Everyone feeling well? Bonnie, are you all better now? Becca, are you working for landscaping this weekend? Shannon, are you going to do something fun with your boys on this fine, warm weekend? Angie - has it cooled down there? Hi Julie, Kimmy, Judi, Caroline, Mel, and all others! Have a great weekend!

Happy Saturday Sassies!!

Another belated QOTD answer: You know a PA girl HAS to have her HEINZ!!! -- Heinz trivia: The company had a ketchup colored airplane at one time.
Other must have brands: Kraft Parm cheese and Viva paper towels (MrJulie demands them), Philadelphia cream cheese, pop, I Can't Believe It's Not Butter Light, Nestle Coffee Mate Creamy Chocolate, Mrs T's pierogies, and Avoderm dog food for Atlas. There are probably more...

Mav had a friend over all night...they are just getting awake. They were still wide awake at 4am!!

I had told myself we couldn't go to WDW this year and the best thing to do was pay bills... Well, like a true Sassie, I just took a curious look at South West's packages and told myself "they are almost paying us to go!" So we get to go to the World at the end of May!! My mom is going to and we are staying in a family suite at ASMu. So I am excited.

It should be a putz around weekend here. I hope everyone is feeling better and having a great weekend.

Good morning, Sassies! Did everyone set their clock ahead?

Julie - 4a.m.? Did he have the standard post-sleepover meltdown the next day? Is Atlas invited to the vacation too? He can have a sleepover with Pluto!

I have to go find the Diet Coke. See ya'll Sassies later!

Good morning!

Wilma -- the post-sleepover meltdown wasn't too bad...he was a little grumpy when his friend couldn't play one more Guitar Hero song when his dad got here at 4 pm! They got along really well and the worst was the waking me up at 2:30 so they could get their dvd working. Then Atlas decided he was missing all the fun downstairs...

Atlas isn't included in the vacation. :sad1: I don't think he would like the Florida heat. But he would be very excited to have a sleepover. He has been asking for a sleeping bag and pup tent so he can sleepover somewhere.

Hi Sassies! Happy Sunday!

Yesterday we went to the National Zoo. There is nothing my girls love more than going to the zoo. It was pretty fun. There is a baby gorilla that was born in January!

I'm feeling a lot better, but I can't seem to get back to normal. I just don't feel right.

So what is everyone up to this weekend? I hope you're all doing GREAT!

Hi Bonnie!
Glad you are better. For some reason the sickness this year just drags on and on...
The zoo sounds fun.

I need to get busy today with some straightening up that I have been putting off. I changed most of the clocks and think I need a nap. Still not rested up from the sleepover, I guess.

Have a sassy one!!

Hi Julie! yeah, how did you like the time change? Good thing it happens on a sunday and gives us a day to get used to it! I like the Fall Back time change much better!

Hope you have a great day! And yeah, you need to relax and recover from the sleepover. Those things can take a lot out of you!

Bonnie - The zoo! I am jealous. We used to take Barney to the zoo all of the time. The hippo is the best, but the octopus feeding is a bore. He really needs to jazz it up or people are going to stop coming to see him eat his fish bits. The last time we were there, the gorilla was doing private things in public places and enjoying every minute of it. The middle schoolers with whom I was traveling thought it quite hilarious!

Strep can take a while to get over, do keep resting if you can. Take care of yourself!

I just returned from taking the boys and Wally to the park. We all enjoyed the fresh air and exercise until Wally barfed in the car on the way home. I wonder if he will ever get over this carsickness thing. It's no fun traveling with a barfy pup. Julie, you should send Atlas here for a vacation while you are vacationing. Wally and Atlas can share the pup tent and commiserate about the heat.:thumbsup2

Have a great day, Sassies!

Wilma, that sounds great to have Atlas and Wally spend a week together. I think they must be spiritually linked as Atlas just barfed too. But he spewed on my white carpet and not the car. I think it was because he was eating a shoe again. Good thing I buy Nature's Miracle by the gallon.

Gotta run to Best Buy and the grocery store.

Hello my long-lost Sassies!

Phew! I am tuckered out! This week turned into a doozy. Riley went from wheezy to sounding like there was a pool in his lungs, so I took him to the Dr. Thursday night. After a couple of x-rays, they determined he has pnuemonia (just in right lung). He really isn't feeling that badly-- just a little more tired than usual, but the poor kid is on 6 meds right now.

Other than that, got the wallpaper stripped from downstairs bathroom, in preparation for the new ceiling. Will FINALLY start re-grouting the kichen tonight. Picked out countertops & new front door, just need estimates for installation. CROSS YOUR FINGERS THAT WE CAN SELL THIS PLACE!!! We went "house browsing" today, to see what our options are. Seems like it is cheaper to build these days than buy pre-owned. Or at least, buy a brand new inventory home.

Glad to hear you're feeling better Bon, though as sick as you were, it'll probably take another week or so to get back to your A game. Don't over-do it! I really want to go to the zoo soon... As for that octopus, last time I was there the keeper said she is at the end of her life cycle, and they're not going to replace her. Can't wait to see the baby gorilla! Did I ever show you guys the picture I got of a gorilla at the zoo giving someone the middle finger? Priceless!

Tricia-- how was Kendall's cheer competition? And Julie, I fear my days of all-night sleepovers are just around the corner. Right now, Reece & his friends can make it until about 2 am before the Sand Man wins out. But the next day... grump city!

Julie we stayed at All Star Music in the family suites two trips ago. It was very convenient and the kids loved it. I really thought the food court was better there than at POP but POP did have the icee machines that the others don't.

Good Morninig Sassies! I've missed you. The weekend started on Friday with the kids being off of school and we got an early start heading to the hotel for the cheer competition

. Was it loud? Yes, but Kendall and all the girls had so much fun and it was nice to see them bond with each other. The great news is that they one 1st place

in their division (for schools) but the really big award was that they took 1st in the overall for their level which was also against the All Star teams from the Gym's.

Good Monday Morning

:cheer2: Kendall and friends

Snow Day, Becca is K'zoo flooded?
Julie, Toots, Mrs. Fop, Shannon, thanks for the reading material.

Shannon, hope Riley's lung clears quickly. Why is it we fix up a house to sell it but do it just for us?

Yo, Squiddy, pirate: , Jeni, Heather, Kimmy, lurkers and :santa:

Morning everyone!

We close on our house March 31st at 2pm. :)

Also we're booked for Beach Club - Club Level for our next trip. I'm excited.

My weekend involved lots of cleaning and puppy time.

Tricia-- the competition sounds fun! So glad that their team did so well-- I'm sure they're thrilled.

Mel-- Congrats on the house! That's fantastic! And the Beach Club?:woohoo: Love that resort!!!

As for moi.... Stick a fork in me. I am POOPED. Judi is so right-- why the heck do we make our houses the way we'd really like them to be just in time to sell? It's madness I tell ya!

Where are all the Sassies today??

Meli-congrats on the house!! I bet you're excited.

No time change here. Us Arizonans stay on standard time all year, and I LOVE it!! I swear it was so hard to adjust to that one stupid hour change!

We have been shopping for a new coffee table (Sierra loved the taste of our old one! ). We've waited over 3 years hoping the "puppy" is old enough to not use the new one as a chew toy. Plus, I'm going to get a stone/iron one so she couldn't destroy it if she wanted! But who knew it was so hard to find a stupid coffee table?? It's REALLY frustrating! Well, if I wanted to spend $1000 or more I could have lots to choose from. :sad2:

Shannon-you're going to have that house looking so good you're not going to want to move!

Bonnie-the zoo sounds fun! Glad you're feeling somewhat better. Listen to nurse Wilma and take it easy for awhile. Have things calmed down at work?

Tricia-YAY for Kendall and her squad!! First place-wow! I have a feeling that the cheerleaders you were around all weekend were a little better behaved than the squad we were so lucky to have shared a bus with one morning. I still wonder where their chaperones were and hope they weren't just the 2 teenage coaches we saw buying wine at the gift shop.

Judi-wassup in the mitten? I can't believe you're still getting snow!! At this rate it'll still be on the ground for your camperless campout!

Wilma-boo to puppy puke! Poor Wally-he has had some serious intestinal distress in his short life!! Sholow ripped one of his nails out this weekend and bled everywhere! I swear he's a hemopheliac. And now it's just hanging there but the big baby won't let us touch it!!

Bex-where are you?? Did you fall into a snowdrift? The spider quacked and laid a silver egg.

Julie-a WDW trip-how exciting!!! Are you a big planner? I am, and I think that's almost as fun as the actual trip!!

Hi Kimmy, Squiddy and Jeni!
