Still Sassy after all this time!

Good morning my sassy friends!! Sorry I've been MIA-not feeling much holiday cheer this year. :sad2: Anyway, I've brought a gift to buy your forgiveness with:

Nothing like a little sexy Santa, huh? :teeth:

Judi~so glad you had some good news about your mom! Anything new on the job hunt?

Kimmy~I can't believe you actually went into work in that weather!! I hope they let you go home early - if it keeps snowing it'll take you all night to get home.

Bex~I hope Santa brings you that plane ticket!! Is there a crossed fingers smiley? Have fun playing in the snow with the boys today!

Shannon~I hope you feel better today! Although, if you'd rest instead of running yourself ragged all day you might get better quicker! ;)

Wilma!! Long time no post! Are you off for the next 2 weeks?

Tricia~you are a brave woman-putting on a party for 50 people would completely freak me out!! I couldn't imagine trying to organize that. At least it's family and not a business thing.

No snow day here. You can't even see across the road. Gets worse, I play taxi Mom. :)

Becca, Brian ok?

Kimmy, be careful out there!!!

Brian made it okay although it took him over an hour to get there.

We have 3 igloos already. Its really coming down here too Judi. I can't believe Cole had school in this crap! The plow has been down here already too, thats a miracle. I wasn't expecting it till tomorrow at the earliest.

Glad to see you Angie!

Howdy, Sassies! Well, we are embarking on a fabulous two week holiday! No papers, no tests, no homework, no nothing!!!!! Barney has already fallen into a book on the couch and I am sure he won't budge until he's finished it. And might I add that this lovely read has no mention of the Revolutionary war, the atom, algebra, Phillis Wheatley, or irregular Spanish verb congugation. He's in heaven!!! Woohoo! What are we doing to these children, I must ask, if they have no time to read for pleasure over a 3 month period. It's preposterous!

Let the Wrapping Derby begin! Gotta tackle those Chanukah presents, that one is sneaking up on me. Judi - Hooray for Mom! Shannon - I hope you feel better soon! Cosmopolitans have medicinal uses, you know - think about that this weekend!

Bonnie - I finally saw Mamma Mia the other night. It was great! What is with Pierce Brosnan's voice, though? What Christmas presents did you score from your class? I am the proud owner of 3 new cheese plates (complete with festive spreaders) and 7 boxes of cocoa, assorted flavors. I got a candle or two and some gift cards as well. Not a bad haul!

Angie - Hang in there, lady! I know it's got to be hard right now. Keep focused on the trip - that will cheer you! I loved your Christmas card!

Becca - I'm still waiting for Brendan's picture. That frog grows sassier by the minute. Coal in his stocking, I am sure!

What's with the weather? Las Vegas gets snow, and we can't seem to buy a flake for good old Virginia! We like snow days too, you know! I think you Northerners are not sharing well. You need to take turns with the snow so that everyone gets a chance, you know!

Hi Angie, Kimmy, Heather, Mel and anyone else I forgot!

See you sassies soon!

Tis the Saturday before

And what's in my head?

Why heading to Tricia's
So we can be fed.

My first stop is Becca's, then down to get Kimmy,
a quick trip to Squiddy's, then down to get Jeni
To Shannon's and Julie's and Wilma's and Toot's
Then over for Angie and Heather's to boot.

After feasting at Tricia's
We'll all climb back in,
With thanks for the leftovers
Merry Christmas, my friends!

Judi... it is EARLY to be so creative! I must tell you, I loved it tho and it made me :rotfl: at 6:20 AM

We have a poet on this thread and I didn't even know it. Good job Judi. I bestow upon you this crown and you are now the official queen of rhyming. princess:

The first of our family parties start tonight. Kelsie works until 8:00 so I'll send Mark, Colin and Kendall for seven and I'll come later with Kelsie when she's finished serving up her nacho's.

I love wrapping presents if anyone needs help. I'm all done so start sending them my way. Oh and I love to make pretty bows too. No extra charge. :rotfl:

Tomorrow is my baking day. Yep, I've got it marked on my calendar so that's what I'll be doing all day tomorrow. Anyone want to help?

Good Morning, Tricia.

Um, you like to wrap? As in wrapping presents? Like putting pretty paper over items to give to people? :confused3 :worship: How long do you think it would take me to get to you?:lmao:

Shannon, hope you feel better by this evening. Shannon, the red-nose par-tay girl just doesn't sound right.

Thanks Judi! I actually perked up for the party, but today.... Ouch. Let's just say I took a 2 hour nap on the couch, and I never, ever take naps. Ever! Waiting for my Nyquil to kick in then I'm out again.

Heelllllllllloooooooooooooooo, Sassy Ones! Long time, No Type! I have ten pages to catch up on!!!! I'm proud of you guys!

I'm at the end of a long week of class Christmas parties and vomitting children (not my own, yet:rolleyes: ). I just finished wrapping the presents for my Wednesday/Friday class and am seeing light at the end of the tunnel! I can't wait until 12:30! Maybe I will hunt up that Viggo picture for a little inspiration!

So, I will read back when I get home. I've missed you guys! Love ya!

I do feel bad that you were so stressed out this week, but really Wilma! Putting Viggo in the same paragraph as "vomitting?" Shame on you!! Twenty lashes from Aragorn with an elven noodle.

Happy first snow day of the year Sassies!

Shannon, would you quit getting sick! Make sure you pass on a pinch request to Heather for me!

Tricia, if you could ask the Buy Guy for a plane ticket for me I would much appreciate it!

No snow days yet here! Not really any cold weather either. Just chilly & gloomy, lots of rain. Shockingly, I'd actually welcome snow over this nasty weather! And yes, I will stop getting sick. Starting riiiiiiiiiight.... NOW! There. Feel better already! :rotfl: Forgot to have Heather pinch Bonnie. Will text her tomorrow for a belated purple nurple.

And, where would you like a plane ticket to? WDW, say... early Feb?

Good morning my sassy friends!! Sorry I've been MIA-not feeling much holiday cheer this year. :sad2: Anyway, I've brought a gift to buy your forgiveness with:

Shannon~I hope you feel better today! Although, if you'd rest instead of running yourself ragged all day you might get better quicker! ;)

Awww... We've missed you Angie! Hope things get better. Are you looking forward to our trip? I am! Can't wait to "meet" you in person!

Don't worry, I got plenty of rest today, and plan on it tomorrow too. The rest of this week is going to be crazy! Ryan just sprung on me that his dad and step-mom are coming for an impromptu visit the day after Christmas!:scared1:

Well, I had more post quoted to respond to, but apparently my Nyquil is demanding that I go to bed right this instant! Having trouble typing is a good sign it's time to sleep! Will pickup tomorrow where I left off.

Night Sassies!

Good morning sassies.

Just a quick post and run because it's almost time to go to Church. I hope you are all having a great weekend so far. Today I'll be bonding with my Kitchen Aid mixer because I've got lots of baking to do for Christmas.

Judi ~ Cole is precious!!!! Now I know you are real. :lmao: I hope you aren't too snowed under. I saw pictures on the news of people shoveling out their cars. :sad2: I can't even imagine that.

Gotta run.

Now we have a reason for all this snow. :teeth: We are breaking snow records up here, so our little town gets to be on the news again tonight. :rotfl2: At the rate we are going, we'll be dug out by May. :thumbsup2

Tricia, you have a very lovely family as well, now about those dark circles ;)

Dear FOP Family

What time should we be there for the latkas? Ladies, get dressed, another road trip :teeth:

Happy Sunday Sassies! We are having another horrible snow event here too. Its blowing so hard I can hardly see the neighbors! Unfortunately, we have a Christmas party to go to this afternoon. We'll be allowing at least an hour to get there even though it usually takes 20 minutes or so. We may turn around and come home if its too bad. The SUV is packed with boots, hats, gloves, blankets and water. Can't be too careful!

Have a great day Sassies!

Becca

Check in when you get back home, please  It is terrible out there today.

Good afternoon, Sassies! I'm about to start frying up the latkes, so I expect you all to be here within an hour. Becca, turn that SUV around and follow the smell of the fry oil. Judi, do you like applesauce or sour cream on yours? Barney wants to try cream cheese on his - yuck!!!!!!!!!! Every year we try a bizarre new topping and see how it flies. Last year was roasted red pepper hummus, this year I am considering pistachio/pepper spread. So, I expect you see you all here shortly, sporting yarmulkes and ready for some good, hearty clogging of the arteries. Oh, and mind yourselves not to block in Hanukkah Harry's golf cart when you arrive. He has many deliveries to make as all of the little Jewish children need socks, underwear and gelt.

Shannon, I am glad your Nyquil is working! Ever since they took that good drug out of it, I always have to add a splash of Grand Marnier to mine. Hope you feel better soon! Do you think that Viggo ever vomits? And I will be happy to accept the elven noodle lashes from Aragorn. Send him over later, unless he is interested in latkes too.

Tricia, aren't Kitchen Aids the greatest??? I would be surprised if mine couldn't bake the whole cookie itself. How many kinds of cookies do you do? My mom, sister and I each bake what we are best at and exchange. I am in charge of sugar cookies because I am the only one with the patience to cut them out and frost them. What is your favorite?

Hi Bonnie, Heather, Julie (and Atlas!), Angie, Kimmy and anyone else I have missed! Love ya, ladies!

Can you smell the yummy cookie smells coming out of my kitchen? Today we made Oatmeal/Chocolate Chip Cookies, Cocoons and Sugar Cookies shaped like candy canes. I was smart this year and wore gloves while mixing the dye to color half the dough red. I also made spicy cayenne pretzels. My SIL has Kendall today and they are making homemade candies. I still have a few things on the sweet side to make but I'm saving some for tomorrow. I've been standing in my kitchen since 10:30 and my old back is starting to hurt so enough for today I say.

Wilma have fun making latkes. I don't think I've ever had one. Cream Cheese is pretty good on most things so Barney might just have a winner there. Let us know what he thinks.

Becca be careful out there, enjoy the party and let us know when you get home. You know us moms worry.

Judi how much snow do you have now?

Alright you worried Sassies, we are home now. It is nasty out there and now there is a blizzard warning, haven't had one since last year!:rotfl2: Time to hibernate.

I also love my Kitchen Aid. Couldn't bake without it, well I could. It was one of the best gifts I ever got!

Wilma, I would love a latke, but I fear I need to stay home. Send the frog with one!

Thank you for caliing home dear. :teeth:

Sour Cream, please, but I agree with Tricia, never had anything you couldn't cream cheese. Maybe with a little chive.

About 6 foot so far this year, 11" today with another 5-6" tonight and a new front coming in Tuesday.
In the 9 winters I've lived here, this is the strangest. The UP is hardly getting anything.:confused3

Can someone please explain this global warming thing to me?

Hi ladies! :wave2:

Yesterday Brent and I did a lot of shopping. The mall was soooo crowded! I'm glad we don't have to return! We got the girls a lot of clothes, which they really need. Seriously good sales on Roxy stuff! A bunch of stuff was under $10!

This weekend went by so quickly! I can't believe I have to go back to work already tomorrow! :(

Friday was our class Christmas party. It was really stressful, but it was HILARIOUS watching Brent go around to the classes dressed up as Santa. He sooo did not want to do it, but he ended up having a GREAT time! It did him good. It's gotta be so cool seeing all those kids treat you like a celebrity. And good news! No one pulled off his beard!

Wilma, yes, I got a pretty good haul this year too! With 29 students, I'm bound to get a lot of gifts! Plus lots of gift cards, which I enjoy! Sounds like you did pretty well yourself!

I regret to inform you all that I did not send out Christmas cards this year. :( So you're in luck...I will not be announcing to the postal workers which strange diseases you have contracted this year. But be on the lookout next year...! Muahhahhahah!
