Judi I'm sorry to hear about Mr. Judi's job. I hope something comes available soon or maybe they'll call him back to work.

Kelsie is all better now. She was fine yesterday but stayed home as a precaution. At least I know if anyone else gets this friendly little bug it will only last for one day.

Kendall and I are off to the grocery store this morning for her to take her Home Ec exam. Strange I know but it does seem kind of fun. She has a list of things she need to get prices for, certain things she needs to ask for assistance with and some items that she needs to compare the nutrition value on. It should take about an hour of searching and writing down then she'll come home and tally up her grocery bill and do a report on her findings. One less exam she has to study for and they start next Monday.

Howdy, ladies! It's Saturday! Woot!

Yesterday I met Shannon for lunch and finally gave her her birthday gift! That hag is a DELIGHT, I tell ya! And her hair looked ooo-la-la! We were talking about the Feb meet. Can you believe it's already right around the corner? Seemed like forever ago that we began talking about it! So Angus and Wilma...get crackin'!!! On what, I don't know.

Last night we went to see Boy in the Striped Pajamas. Wow, that was a good movie. Depressing, of course, but really well done.

Welcome to Friday Sassies! Woohoo! Brian is going to a Red Wings game tomorrow so the boys and I are hanging out with my sister and her kids. We are going bowling or roller skating. I like to bowl with the kids since they have the bumpers in the lanes and I can't get a gutter ball.

Judi, hope everything is okay. Let us know when you can.

I feel like I've been gone a year, but it has only been a few days... Missed a lot though! Thanks for the gift card guys! (Pier 1 Imports, my favorite) I'll spend it wisely. And YES I am sooo looking forward to the meet. Bought park tix, have hotel $ saved... Now I just need a new pair of red pleather boots, and I'm all set.

Now we just have to pick a meeting time w/ Meli & that tentacled creature.

Happy Sunday, Sassies! What's everyone up to? I ain't doin' a doggone thing. 'Cept I think I'm gonna go to SuperTarget later. The girls need jeans and they gotta be cheap! Brent is getting out the holiday decor, also.

Went on my belated birthday date with Ryan today (thanks Bonnie for lending me your daughter... again!!!)

Saw Broadway version of The Wizard of Oz. Fantastic!!! Plot line completely true to movie, but with a few added jokes, & a couple of new songs. Toto (played by a little dog named Snickers) stole the show!

Afterward, we braved the freezing temps & wandered around D.C. Walked around Chinatown (where else can you window shop for golden waving cat statues?) and finally ate at Gordon Biersch. Laughed, flirted with the hot guy across from me... great night. (and by hot guy, I mean Ryan! )

Only downside was the near-disaster I had coming down the stairs at the restaurant. Alllllmost ate it. Nothing ruins a good date like a broken neck. Damn boots!

Morning Sassies! It has been a heartbreaking weekend here. A 14 year old died in an accident when the car he was riding in lost control and was hit by an sheriff deputy. The 14 year olds family are customers of my dads store and everytime I drive to work I pass their house. The deputy is destroyed according to my bil who is also a sheriff deputy. Please keep everyone involved in your prayers. There is another 14 year old still in the hospital.

Judi, so sorry about Mr. Judi's job. I was really hoping he would escape it. How is mom feeling?

Bonnie, yep, Chet is all festive and I will post a picture soon! What's new with you?

Shannon, sounds like you had a great time! Sorry I was using the balance part of our brain that evening. I really needed it since I don't wear socks and it was really snowy here, I didn't want to fall. However, I apparently gave it back since I bit it in the garage yesterday.

Becca I'm so sorry to hear about that tragic accident. So sad. Both families are in my thoughts and prayers.

Kendall's assignment was fun. Like I said before one less exam she has to study for. Exams start next Monday so this coming weekend will be loads of fun. I'm glad it's all over by the time the kids get off for Christmas so we don't have that hanging over our heads. Two weeks of bliss.

I'm down to a gift for Colin's bus driver and the Teacher gifts then I'm done. Now I'm gearing up for Christmas Eve because I'll be hosting Mark's family this year. They have 41 in just his immediate family so we'll have a house full for sure. I'm trying to plan the menu now and see what can be done ahead of time. Fun times!

Shannon your birthday weekend sounds like you and Ryan had a great time. I'm glad you caught yourself from hitting the stairs. I'm one of those who laugh first then ask if you're ok later.

I hope all you other sassy people here had a great weekend.
