Still Sassy after all this time!

Hi everyone!

I went shopping this morning. It wasn't too busy here but I didn't really go to popular stores for openings. I started at JcPenney's for Bath Mats, Towels, Etc. Then Sears for the Shelving System. Then I took a nap in the car as I was sleepy. Then Bed, Bath & Beyond for Kitchen things, Target for office chair and I was done so I just waiting in the parking lot for the husband to finish with his shift at work before we went home.

Hi Sassies! I hope everyone had a super great Thanksgiving!

I was up at 3:30 yesterday and that was sleeping in compared to last year. I will NEVER go to Walmart on Black Friday again. Talk about rude, shoving hateful people. At every other store people were courteous although. I got the boys Guitar Hero Aerosmith with 2 guitars for Wii and several other goodies. We were pretty much done shopping by 9 so we had lunch at Olga's at 9 am. I was surprised to see they were open for lunch that early, but it was tasty!

I did meet another Diser at Old Navy. She wasn't even from Kalamazoo which made it even funnier to me.

I'm off to work at my dad's store. Have a great day my friends! After work my tree is going up too, I can't wait!

QOTD for 2 days ago: Pumpkin pie with homemade whip cream.

Good Saturday Morning

25 degrees here

Yoda, I just got a catalog from Bed Bath & Beyond, cool looking things there!

Julie, I like beets, eggs no.

Good morning sassy people.

We are supposed to decorate the outside today but it's starting to rain. We are due to have it on and off all day so that doesn't make for much fun. :guilty: Maybe tomorrow we'll be all festive with lights and stuff.

I did score the Wii Fit which I'm happy about. I hope to be able to exercise on that. :confused3 I got Colin a We Ski and Kendall some kind of cheerleading Wii viedo game both of which you use the Wii Fit to play.

Becca how did you meet another Diser? Standing in line and lime green Mickey Heads came up in conversation? I want to meet DISers in real life too. I was very disappointed on our last two trips to Disney I had a lime green Mickey head on my backpack with Grumpy's Wife on it and no one made any comments. I didn't even see other people with LGMH at all. Maybe next time.

Judi did mom have a nice Thanksgiving?

I want a Wii fit too Tricia. I didn't even think to look for one yesterday. Let me know how you like it!

I met the Diser in the loooong line at Old Navy I was looking at gloves as we went by and she was behind me and wanted to look at the girls gloves on the other side of the aisle. I told her I would hold her place in line if she wanted to look so she did and she came back and I noticed she was wearing a Disney shirt, I told her any Disney fan is okay by me and we got to talking about Disney and her husband came by and I just asked her on a whim if she was on the Disboards and she said she was!:rotfl2:

Hi guys! We're finally home!!! Had a good time, but it's always nice to be back in your own squalor. :rotfl:

Did you all have a good Thanksgiving? Sounds like some of you had productive shopping trips yesterday! Me too. I love that Becca met a DISer at Old Navy! :thumbsup2

Got up at 3:45 yesterday to shop w/ Ryan's mom, aunt, & cousin. Hit Walmart first, and I will second what Becca said. NEVER again. Rudeness, shoving... it was ridiculous! I did get a few Nintendo DS games there, some movies on sale for $9 (Hulk, Iron Man, Indiana Jones).

Then we hit the mall for Sears, Macys, & JC Penney. I didn't get much there. Something from Lands End w/ my bday money! ;) Oh, & some B&BW stuff.

Hit the mother load at Kohls! I needed sheets & towels badly, got 800 count Pima cotton sheet set (King) for $59. Normally $169. Laura Ashley Huuuuge bath towels for $3.00 each. Got some dress clothes for DH (work), shoes for the boys, some great deals on toys for Riley, electric knife for DH.

Went to Target for more movies, CDs, iPod accessories & a few Christmas decorations. After that we hit Das Dutch Haus for lunch. Mmmmm...!

Got home an hour ago, and I'm happy to report NO flooding. Yay!

Hey there, Sassies! Am I the only one who did not Black Friday? We actually did shop, but from the comfort of the living room computer. No scary Walmart shoppers for me! A few years ago, I came perilously close to falling into a large bin of $5 movies in the Hilton Head Walmart. I certainly would not have come out alive had it not been for the wherewithal of my intrepid husband, who yanked me to safety. Shopping can be dangerous work!

The outside of the house is decorated, and I might get to the inside this weekend. Woohoo! I haven't had stuff up this early in years!

Since we were out of town for Thanksgiving, we do not have Thanksgiving leftovers stocking the fridge. Therefore, tomorrow is Turkey Cooking Day in the Flintstone house. BamBam is rather attached to the 12 pound bird in the fridge and does not want me to cook it. He keeps opening the door and apologizing to it. Where he became so attached to turkeys, I do not know:confused3 . I shall have to create a diversion while I stuff and cook his friend, I expect. Any clever ideas out there in Sassyland?

Good Sunday Morning

Mrs. FoP, I did not leave my house on black friday as well. As for the turkey diversion, one computer: find lists of puppy names, new & improved toys for said unnamed puppy, best food for

etc. :)

Shannon, welcome back to a dry house.

Good morning sassies.

Just getting back from Church and about to leave for a Saints Game Party. It's a beautiful day today unlike yesterday which it rained all day long. I don't think we've seen the sun since Friday. I still want to decorate the outside of the house. Maybe this afternoon. :confused3

Have a great day my friends.

Happy Cyber Monday. I had four emails from different places reminding me of the great deals to be had today. I'll have to let you know what I find out.

Happy snowy Monday Sassies! I was so happy to see Brian drive off to work this morning.:rolleyes1 Too much togetherness this very long weekend!

Shannon, I'm really glad you didn't have an indoor swimming pool this time! I would have had someone checking my house everyday just to make sure. I'm paranoid like that.

Judi, did you get slammed this weekend? We dodged most of it, of course you know that just breaks my heart.

Wilma, I would tell Barney that it is a really big chicken and not a turkey you are cooking. What's new with you?

Tricia, how's the Wii fit? I need a report!

Bonnie, where are you hag? I wish you would come around much more.

Angie, how was your Thanksgiving?

Julie, did Atlas get as many leftovers as Speck did? I don't think he could run if he had to, he kind of waddled all afternoon.

Squiddy, how was your holiday? What's new with you?

Heather, oh where are you Heather???

Mel, how's things in your warm neck of the woods?

The Diser I met at Old Navy pmed me and I send her an invitation to stop by. Hope she does!

Becca the Wii Fit is for Christmas. I'll have to let you know in a couple of weeks. I'm so glad I finally got it because I already bought We Ski and some Cheerleading thing for Kendall and both games you need the board for. All is right now. :thumbsup2

Good morning everybody! My weekend was a bit of a bummer-Thanksgiving was OK, but the baby sneezed on me all day, and now I have a sore throat! Then I had a migraine all day Friday, which ruined my trip to the craft fair with my mom. I still went, but didn't enjoy myself. Then I spent the rest of the weekend cleaning cuz the MIL arrives today. So, I'm really dragging today. :sad2: And there's nothing like being sick when you have a houseguest!

Is it Christmas Eve yet?? I'm taking time off then, so I get 11 days off. I can't wait!!

I didn't do any Black Friday shopping either, Wilma. The craft fair doesn't really count. I am too chicken to get out there with all those crazy people!! Did you hear about that poor guy at Walmart who was killed when they pushed the door open and trampled him? What is wrong with people?

I hope you all have a wonderful Monday!

Hi everyone, I met Becca in the Old Navy line on Friday. It was so perfect, I was able to tell my husband "I told you so", he is always making comments about my obsession with the DISboards. When he found out that Becca was also on the boards, that was it, my fascination was confirmed! Of course then he had to jump into the conversation about Disney.
I briefly browsed your thread and you all sound just like me. Hopefully I can chat again with you!

Welcome twins4disney! I'm Shannon! We'd love to have you on this thread-- the more, the merrier! We're all relatively normal, and completely harmless. Except for Bonnie. She's a bit of a wild one.:rolleyes1

Yup Becca, I'm glad we came home to no pool too! (Especially one with no panty-liner floating around.) I wanted to turn off the main water line, but DH thought that was ridiculous. HA!! He's not the one who's been dealing with contractors for the past 2 months! Speaking of which, they are painting today. Taking their sweet old time, naturally.

Got my tree up yesterday, but had a minor tantrum when after I had it up (undecorated) it FELL OVER. Darn thing is a hand-me-down from MIL, and I've wanted a new one for years, but never get around to it. DH promised to get one when they're on sale after Christmas this year. I think I scared him!:rotfl: I never flip out like that. Due to basement STILL being torn up, I think the tree is as far as I'm going to get this year.

Angie-- I hope you feel better soon! I know I need to be 100% healthy to deal with the in-laws. Well, FIL and Step MIL that is. Good luck!!!:thumbsup2

Tricia-- Can't wait to hear about the Wii Fit! I want one badly, but not badly enough to put it on my Christmas list and displace the desperately needed clothes DH is supposed to get me.

Hi Judi, Wilma, Bonnie, Mel, Squiddy, Heather, Julie (and Atlas) and everyone else who hasn't posted in 4 million years!!

Morning everyone.

Sorry I haven't been posting much. Things have been a bit busy.

Nothing really exciting either going on here.

I'm ready for vacation.

Hey everyone!

WELCOME Twins4disney!!! Glad you are here!

Becca, Atlas didn't get any leftovers, but he did get a giant new rawhide bone and he is in HEAVEN over it!! He has it chewed in half already.

No Black Friday in the stores for me until I made a couple of quick stops in the evening, but that doesn't really count. I did get some great online buys on Black Friday though...I much prefer that I think.

Well, I need to get back to my cleaning... Talk later....

Julie, when you're finished cleaning your house, wanna come over & do mine?:rotfl:

Hi Meli! Can't wait for vacation either! We need to figure out a time to get together. We CAN'T be there at the same time & not actually see each other at least for a bit!!!!

Howdy, Sassies! Shannon, you must watch for falling trees. My tree (a live one) once fell over when Barney was a baby. We had a lousy tree stand, and I think it was it's fault. Anyway, it was 3 days before Christmas and all of the stores around here had sold all of their tree stands so I had to trek to Richmond for the last remaining stand in their metro area. The whole way there Barney kept saying "no more bad tree, no more bad tree!":rotfl: It was long hour, I tell ya!

Welcome, Twins! Any friend of Becca's is a friend of ours. Make yourself right at home on our Danish Modern Divan. Angie will be serving up the Brandy Alexanders soon, so make sure you have eaten before you dive into one of those.;)

Who's looking forward to February? I am, I am!:goodvibes

Hi Bonnie, Heather, Judi, Julie (and Atlas), Angie, Becca and any sneaky lurkers out there! Have a great day!

Hi Bonnie, Heather, Judi, Julie (and Atlas), Angie, Becca and any sneaky lurkers out there! Have a great day!

:rotfl: That's a much livelier falling tree saga than mine! Hopefully it's stable enough to last through the holidays, though even if it fell, I doubt it would hurt anyone. It's a "faux" tree, but fairly small. I'm definitely due for a tannenbaum upgrade!

And I am SOOO looking forward to February! I bought my park tix a few weeks ago!!!! That makes it so real! We're going to have a fabulous time.
