still no word from AKV Concierge

I find this really to be annoying, esp. after hearing about how wonderful the AKV concierge staff is...I booked our very first DVC trip in late November, for an April arrival at AKV concierge..no one has contacted me about anything I'd like. I left a message on their voice mail a few days ago, no call back..this morning I finally sent an email with a few requests, and I"m waiting to hear something.

Am I wrong to be a bit upset that no one has contacted me? Esp. considering I was under 180 days out when I booked, I would have thought I"d have gotten a call from them.
 
I'm sorry you haven't heard anything from them. I haven't stayed there yet but we do have a ressie for Oct. I emailed them on Sat, Jan 12 and rec'd a reply the next day (Sun, Jan 13). It stated they are there daily 8a-8p. The contact info on the email was:

Yep, that's the contact info. I used. wonder why I'm being overlooked? Well I'm really hoping I'll hear something today!! I don't want to be a pain trying to contact them again, but I also want to get my stuff taken care of!
 
Maybe your e-mail got caught up in a spam filter. We have been having a lot of difficulty lately with our e-mails not going through or not recieving them. I have been switching my accounts to yahoo and have seen a great increase in service.
 

We booked in Sept for a March Concierge stay. We were told itinerary planning would contact us automatically prior to the 180 day mark but they did not, so I contacted them. I think there were some hiccups during those early reservations as it seems to have gone smoother for others on the board. Either way, once I had contacted them, the service level was very good. Enjoy your trip!

I emailed them about our stays in July and October before Christmas and they did get right back to me by email and they called me.

They did let me know that MS is new at the whole concierge information thing and that some of the reservations were not getting to their system as they should be. :)

So if you have a concierge reservation and don't hear from them by about 200 days out, email them or call them.

Or if you want to contact them earlier, that is okay too. :)

OP-Definitely give them a call back, your VM may have disappeared or someone took down your information, planning to call you back, and the info ended up under something.....they are really good about getting back to you, so I think something probably happened. They are super nice and helpful, they won't mind you calling again. They want you to be happy. :goodvibes

I had to send an e-mail twice before I got a reply. I just assumed the first one got lost and sent another. I heard back the next day when I sent the second. Either send another or give them a call. There are more than willing to help.
 
well I did try to send another email from a different account, in case the first didn't go through, and still no word. Perhaps I'll call this afternoon if I still haven't gotten any email back.

I keep hearing how wonderful they are, so that's why I'm perplexed that I haven't gotten a response.

Make sure you include all of your contact information in your email. It's possible they are replying to your email and it's not getting through. Be sure to include your full name, reservation information and phone number in your email and tell them you haven't heard back and ask them to give you a call.
 
I had no luck with calling IP as they didn't return any of my phone calls. However, when I have emailed them, they always respond within 24 hours, often in 2-3 hours! Don is wonderful and has been extremely helpful.
 
well I"ve left another voice message as well as sent another email, making sure to have all the important info. in it. Here's hoping I get a response!!
 
Yea!! I finally got a call back from Don today, telling me that he'd gotten all 3 of my emails, and he was sorry but they got backed up by a few days and that's why I hadn't gotten a response back yet. So while we chatted on the phone he was taking care of my requests, and emailed me the info. He was very nice, and I"m glad to know my info. got through ok.
