Stern Fan Thread?

Another Stern fan here!

I've been listening to Howard since he hit the airwaves in Philly back in the early to mid 80's. I LOVE his show, but I still turn the dial when he has the bimbo strippers on.

I'm SO glad he got all his old shows back. I was sad to think I'd never hear the Beetlejuice song again

And how perfect is George Takei as the announcer? I don't think they could have chosen anyone else with a better sense of humor!

I may be a little harsh, but I think it's total BS that he has nearly every Friday off. God, the guy has something like 12 weeks vacation a year!! WTH?? That's the one thing that really ticks me off about him

i have also been listening since the 80s-- my favorite as i said in my OP- is when he does ted kennedy- however, remember back in the day he would do ted talking to was his wife joan? OMG and the marge shot stuff was great! when he would do her voice

i am not too crazy about george though he is just OK. and not crazy about evil dave.

i know some people dont like him- but i think when gilbert is on (which isnt too often lately)- that is funny- they just get SO out of control- i crack up- how about when he does those voices when talking to beet?

Another Howard fan here. I love G. Takei. I am unsure about how mad Artie was. I think I am biased here. I don't like dice. I cannot believe Sal's wife has not left him. I did not hear all of the Robin boat stuff. I am not home as much as I used to be so I can't hear all of the shows. Listening online now, it is better than using my box, with all that aquiring signal stuff!! Ah!

i tought i was the only one that had that problem. anytime someone calls into the show they talk about how great sirius is (i DO love it) but they never mention that they have to stand out in the middle of the back yard, hopping on one foot while holding the antenna towards the heavens begging the martians to just please send you a signal!

Oh the gown and the boat!!! HYSTERICAL. I love all the boat stories!

I don't have any antenna problems. I even have my home antenna just looking out a window. DH's Sportster Replay has a VERY STRONG FM modulator. We can pick up Sirius on every radio in the house including the one in garage. In fact I could receive his signal a little down the street (unitl I bought my own receiver!!!).

I miss Eric the Midget.

NA! hes not vulgar- he is the same as he always was. even now that he is on sirius- he really does not curse etc that much (sure other people do) but he really tries not to. unless it is right for the moment OR you really pi$$ him off- how about the rachel hunter incident-- WOW! he went off on her!

i have to get a better antenna set up. it is just easy right now to sit at my comuter and listen with no problems.

oh- no i cant stand that little "fidget" he just creeps me out with that voice and he is sooo annoying- i cant believe howard keeps passifying him.

i still hope they put the balloons on his chair for lift off!

Fly me with balloons so I can meet Katherine McPhee... I'm a miserable midget who is only 2 ft. 3... Sorry-I can't get that song out of my head! I have to agree about Gilbert-I love when he is on! He gets Howard laughing so hard-it's great to hear them having fun. They have a way of making you feel included in their little group I think. I also really enjoy when they tease Robin and Fred does her voice and plays her news song. Another vote against Sal though-what a jerk! I can't believe his wife is with him after he writes songs like that!!!

And for Madhatir-'Era, I need a door in the floor of my plane. Era, it's to get rid of the...' I was crying laughing when they did that bit.

I love Artie-can't wait until he comes back!

does anyone remember way back in the day when howard was on channel 9 and he used to do the "pee pee dance" song or was it "shake your pee pee"???? i think thats what it was and he used to have on his undies and do the little dance- didnt he do the kennedy voice then too???

yeah the bimbos are boing- however, some of them are what could you say "unbelievable" with some of the stuff they are into! its kinda like a car wreck- you have to look (listen), you cant turn it off! its shocking!

and when fred does the voice for robin--- like the queen of england!

For some reason, I could not get the show to come in clearly today. I probably missed most of the good stuff.

Just wanted to add that some of the funniest material on that show is Artie imitating Jeff the Drunk (it's a blister!!).

I can't stream at work, so I have to wait for the replay later. I did catch a little on my way from home to the gym and from the gym to work. I love hearing about Scott's black cloud affecting people who come in contact with him.

I also had to giggle when Howard says he has to let Artie do what Artie wants to do because he doesn't want him having to go to a psychatrist and take drugs. He also doesn't want any more voicemail messages saying Artie has to do what Artie has to do. Oh and the day that Howard mentioned it was the anniversary of Artie's breakdown was so hysterical. He has the day written in his dayplanner!

right now miss howard stern is TRASHED and singing with some country guy- trent tomilson. and trent is LOVIN her!

OMG! when she told everyone her daughers name is beyonce (sp?) eveyone died laughing. because you know what happens when you drink!

she can barely speak. actually its kinda sad. howard keeps telling them not to give her any more to drink. he feels bad.
