Stepping off ship during embarkation afternoon

We are doing a Disney Cruise out of San Juan this fall. As I understand it, the port has a liquor store connected to it. I had the thought of waiting to buy a six pack for our room until we have access to our stateroom.

My question is, is the departure port the same as any other port along the cruise? Can I get on the boat, disembark to buy my beer, and get back onto the ship while still waiting to sail off in San Juan??

Yes. Ypu need to be back by final boarding time or you will be drinking your beer while the ship sails without you.

Yes, we have done exactly this in the past at the Pan American pier. You don't even need to leave the terminal - the liquor store is right there beside check-in. Couldn't be any easier or more convenient.
