Steakhouse 71 or Ohana?

We are trying Steakhouse 71 for the first time in a week. However, we don’t like Ohana at all.

We have gone to Ohana before and liked it, but wanted to try Steakhouse 71. We have a reservation for Steakhouse right now. Seen a cancellation for Ohana on the here the exact same time.

I wasn’t impressed by Ohana and recommend Steakhouse 71 if you can get the ressie.

I'd pick Steakhouse 71. 'Ohana would be way down the list.

'Ohana isn't near what it once was, SH71 may be among the best eateries on property. The choice seems pretty clear to me.

We didn’t get to try steakhouse 71 when we were recently in wdw, but did go to Ohana. We had previously loved it (precovid), but walked away very disappointed. We had good service and the apps and dessert were still good, but the meats/main entrees were really not good. We were particularly disappointed in the “steak.” I will say that we did find the salad to be an improvement from the old one. It was actually one of the highlights of the meal.

Steakhouse 71. Generally speaking, over the years, I have found the quality of food and service at WDW a la carte restaurants is far better than the AYCTE locations. We enjoyed our meal at Steakhouse 72 in October - good food, great service. Our last trip to 'Ohana was a disaster - really bad service and super greasy food. yuck.

i have never been impressed with Ohanas (over hyped and never close to living up to it). Have not tried Steak house 71, but the reviews have been very favorable. Easy choice for Steakhouse 71,

We have gone to Ohana 3 times. When we went probably 9 years ago it was really good then a couple years ago. The last time it wasn’t as good. We still liked it but the service and food had gone down a bit.

you are being kind. The food and service went down significantly. Granted it has been 3 years since we were there, but the food was not good and the service horribly rushed. Recent reviews have not been any different. For those who choose to go back, you won't be fighting me for a spot.

I do remember feeling rushed.
It was annoying and not relaxed.
I guess they want to herd people in and out as fast as they can to make that money.

We are at Steakhouse 71 last night. Overall pretty good - steaks in general seemed to be over cooked so maybe keep your preparation style in mind when ordering (“medium” steak, maybe ask for medium rare to get the desired “medium” result). It wasn’t just our table but both tables next to us. The gentleman next to us sent his steak back asking for better preparation. Only other suggestion would be asking for salad dressing on the side - our wedge salads were swimming in dressing.
