Steaked!

They should buy you a Bentley if you buy 5000 steaks. Not only would they be a good steak company, they'd be a courteous steak company. :scratchin

edit:

I'm not sure why I posted twice about the same thing. Very strange.

Last night's dinnerdom was a huge unfortunate turn of events. My roomie had used all the butter in the refrigerator, which I planned on using for a nice tarragon, butter and red wine sauce. I, instead, used margarine, which made the sauce taste like a nasty, salty goo. (Ugh....it was nasty! :headache:) Then, after searing the steak, I put it in the oven so that it'd reach a nice "medium rare". UNFORTUNATELY my roomie came into the kitchen and informed me that the meat thermometer was broken.......about 10 minutes too late. My steak was OVER well-done. :headache: (I normally don't use meat thermometers since I always keep an eye on the meat, but this was an exception for some reason.) I was so upset last night. Needless to say, this was a very dry, tough piece of meat.

There are about 20 other things that went wrong last night that I won't even get into. :guilty:

It's terrible to think you're going to have to buy a Bentley in order to get more steaks. Oh well, two birds with one stone!

I'm only kidding, I'd get SO pissed off when I am making something and come to find that EVERYTHING has gone wrong!

Oh my gosh. What a mess. It's really too bad that it all went wrong for the whole meal!

We had some of those happenings here too, and learned at the most inopportune time that our oven temperature guage is apparently broken. It fluctuates as much as 75 degrees, so makes roasting anything an interesting venture.

Hope things turn for the better as you approach the new year!

It's only one meal, I guess. I had a very tasty dessert, at least.

Our oven thermometer seems to be off a bit as well, by about 10 degrees. (If something needs to be baked at 350, I've gotta set it at 360.) Digital technology can be great........sometimes.

Behind the ice cream parlor backstage, there's a dry ice machine. They use it in the bottom of the ice cream carts, so it's always fun when they shovel it out and make a mess on the ground. I loved playing in it, it's almost like snow in florida....

Bubble wrap is fun stuff, I like popping the big bubbles, but there's usually fewer. So the tiny bubbles give me more fun time.

Tonight I just discovered that I like the Omaha burgers better than the steaks. (The steaks are very good, but they didn't blow me away like the burgers did.) They were easily some of the juiciest, most flavorful burgers I've made/had. I just added some salt and pepper before putting them in the pan, let them cook for a few minutes, and then added some sharp cheddar and put a aluminum bowl over the patties so the cheese would melt. Then I added some grilled onion, but no ketchup, mustard or mayo because all that would've ruined the flavor of these puppies. :woohoo: (I normally go right for the mustard and mayo when I eat a burger, but after looking at them and smelling them as they cooked I kinda figured they wouldn't need it.)

Omaha burgers....... :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Ah, you've discovered their secret! LOL.

I remember having Omaha burgers when we had a store close to us. We really enjoyed them too, and yes they are best without being all gunked up with condiments!

Is it sad that I'll probably have at least a couple more today? :confused3

I hope not, because I already did. :rolleyes1

I am glad to hear that everyone likes them! This might sound bad but I also send them as gifts but have never had any myself!!!!

We are not a household that eats beef so it never makes any kind if sense for us.

You're in luck! They also have loaded potatoes, chicken, sole and pork loin! :woohoo:
