I ate lunch there for the first time this past Sunday and it was better than I expected. My son was the one who really wanted to eat there and since it can't be my way all the time, I gave in! He had the sushi and I had the grilled chicken. On the plate were two grilled and sliced chicken breasts, a little bowl of teriyaki sauce, some green beans, carrots and broccoli, and sticky rice. The chicken did not have a lot of flavor, but dipped in the teriyaki sauce it was delicious. I will add that I love teriyaki sauce so that is why I liked it so much. The one thing I really liked about this meal was that it seemed fairly "healthy" and light and clean tasting. It was nice to have a meal like that and I didn't walk away feeling really stuffed.

Anyone else?
We have a reservation here in October. We are not sushi eaters either, so I too am looking for reviews of the chicken/steak etc.
TIA

Steak, chicken, and salmon are always good here! Salmon fillet was the largest we had been served all week. It's not a steak house, so I don't expect the steak to be out of this world, but it was properly cooked and we thought it was fine. I suppose it would depend on the cut of meat they have that week (don't know if that changes) and who is working the grill that day. I honestly don't remember exactly what cut it was, but it was described by the CM as sirloin.
We were offered a choice of sauces on the side, the entree was plain grilled.

I had the filet last week and it was cut with a fork tender - just delicious! It was served with broccoli, carrots, sticky rice and a wonderful dipping sauce.

Thanks for the review of the grilled chicken. I have an ADR here in July and don't eat sushi either and had planned on the chicken. I see there is also a panko breaded chicken. Has anyone tried that?

I'm curious ... and I'm not trying to be rude ... but why are you interested in having a meal at Tokyo Dining if you're planning to order steak or chicken for your meal? :confused3

I booked Tokyo Dining for dinner for this coming July. I chose it for two reasons.

1. To hopefully get a table by the window to watch Illuminations

and

2. For a lighter meal in the midst of a lot of heavy foods the rest of the week.

My DH eats sushi but I don't. I'm looking forward to a grille chicken and veggie meal and keeping it light.

I understand taking one for the team ... ;) ... did that once at Restaurant Marrakesh. Never again. :rotfl2:

because my husband loves teriyaki. we also love to try new restaurants out. i've tried sushi 3 times- can't stand it.

too bad about the sushi ... they actually have pretty good stuff at Tokyo Dining. Good sake selection too if you like that.

It's a nice place - I'm sure you will enjoy it.

I also am eating at Tokyo Dining because the friends I am meeting for dinner are sushi lovers. I am really looking forward to eating here since I like to try new places. I am sure the tempura and chicken will be delicious.
