Std view availability at BWV for 6/1

DH got off the phone with MS a little while ago to change a reservation to 6/1-6/2 (Sun/Mon) and there was standard view availability at BWV for a 1bdr! He honestly didn't think there would be any availability anywhere at 3 weeks out for a Sun-Thurs night, but what a shock! He ended up booking preferred anyway to make the points the same as the reservation that was switched.

I don't know if just fewer people are traveling, if this is slow time or if since we are within the 30 day window more rooms were opened up for points, or what. Not complaining though!

I'm surprised, too - especially since so many of the standard view rooms are out of service due to the rehab project. My guess is that someone recently cancelled, and those that may have been on the waitlist gave up. Sometimes, timing is everything!

That is amazing. I spoke with them on Thurs (5/8) and was told there was only preferred view at BW & BC (1 bedrooms) for this same timeframe. We ended up booking at OKW. I'm taking my mom for her 60th birthday (6/1 - 6/3). Just a girls trip. It will be the first time she's ever been to Epcot.

That is really amazing. I was at Boardwalk tonight and almost all of the standard views are closed. The only ones open are across from the tennis courts and the special corner rooms, maybe 20 to 25 rooms total standard open. The closed ones didn't look anywhere near done. Also closed is the area above the Wyland Gallery. The Boardwalk frontage was all open.
