One question, what is the best way to hang up lights?

What about those Command Hooks? I use them for Christmas decorations at home and they work great.

Love to scrap, i can't think too much of any other sayings, BUT you could keep the Princess party as is and then make your window a theme window! with a princess theme.

Pink party lights
Soft pastel colored balloons
little Princess figurines in the window

Follow through with a door to match! maybe your DIS name on cut out princess hats with a little colored gauze coming out of the tip of the hat just like a princess hat! (just staple it to the tip).
Walmart has some really cute princess stuff right now. I'll be using that to decorate our window!

lovetoscrap.....

Ok, did some word playing

BUT.....from princess party you can do scrapper....or ECSTASY or PARENTS
or PRAISES SCARIER or 'party spins' those were for princess party

for happy birthday ....haha trip... drippy.....tiara......

hope this helps

Really early but need ideas for April 26th thru May 4th for 2 windows, 1 for the girls ( not princess) and 1 for boy.. Thanks guys and gals!!

Hi everyone, I have a real dumb question...because the weather forecast says rain for every day of our visit, do the let people into the parks if its raining? and if so are the rides open?? or are we going to be stuck in the hotel for our full trip. :confused3 :confused3

English Rose, you could do Mickey/Minnie
you could do Toy story for the boy
An underwater theme that if the rooms are next door to each other kind of continues with NEMO in one and Ariel in the other!!

WDISNEY, yes the parks are open and the rides are too!! ENJOY!! don't forget to buy a mickey poncho!! i hate them, but it's got mickey on it and it keeps you dry!!!!!!!
$5 at any gift shop!! <--last bit advice from DH!

ohh and the parks tend to empty out if it rains, so ride all the big ticket rides!!!

Last year everyday, at some point, it poured....you'd think that was bad wouldn't you? But, nope, it was BETTER! people for some reason are afraid of getting wet :rotfl2: DD and I paid tooo much money to not enjoy the parks. Go to the parks, enjoy!

Go to walmart and in the camping section is a 'camping towel' its yellow and small, works wonders on drying the seats! We had two, one for us, one for rides! they wring out dry!

Bring changes of socks and shoes...wet feet are hurting feet!

Funny story...DD and I were prepared for everything if it could be needed, we packed it, lol. Day at Epcot, was sunny and beautiful, all day, so we leave the ponchos at the hotel. As soon as the sun went down, the sky opened up, and it poured buckets! Thunder and lightning! Everyone was scattering crazy, and we were dumbfounded. The lines to buy mickey rain ponchos was out the door - everywhere! We waiting for 20 minutes to buy 2 of them. Worth it? Not really, they are only slightly better than the ones we got, but cost 100% + more. So being prepared is only as good as what you carry with you!

Have a marvelous time! Embrace what you can't change!

yes it's sooo true peeps are afraid of the rain!!! if they don't leave they are in the shops or restaurants!!! so ride everything!! shop later!!

I'm really happy to hear that we can still get on the rides, and into the parks too...I have a yellow mickey rain coat from '96, I kept it 'cus it was so expensive LOL (and it was never used 'cus as soon as I put it on it stoped raining LOL). Any way I also got a red one for my mom so we are ready for rain...I'm going to go and get that towel 'we_love_disney' recomened. :)

Oh and back on topic with the window, I think I may have too many decorations if all the windows are as big as our first sample, I may not be able to see out of it after its decorated! Oh boy people Im so excited!!

And you all are so helpful and friendly, you have all made this planing count down so much fun.....Thanks for all the Disney Love

3 days to go!! :maleficen :goofy: :mickeyjum :ccat: :sulley: :goofy: :figment: :stitch: :simba: :mickeyjum :dumbo: :jumping2: :jumping3: :jumping1: party: :dancer:

As I said, I CAN'T MIX the two sets--. I need 2 different "phrases"-- one for each set.
Thanks!

I guess that's what they call reading and not comprehending everything.

Adult ADD? Maybe.... :rolleyes1

I have a question. My husband went to Home Depot today and my alarm went off and it was so hard to explain why I needed him to go to the paint aisle and pick up some of the mickey paint chips with out him thinking I've completly lost it. But he gave me that expression of this is a lost cause and I'll do it just to make her happy look. Do they usually come adheared to a backing? They don't come off easy. So you just cut around them? Everyone's that I've seen in pictures look so nice and I know I'm gonna botch this somehow.

Thanks for posting the window pictures. I'm getting some ideas on how to do our two windows. Yes, I have two to decorate! You know in my spare time, with all the planning I have done. But I don't care, who sleeps at WDW?

Besides the tye dye shirts I still needs to finish, a few months ago I lost my hard drive and all of my vacation plans, and a years worth of photos. Last years disney trip gone! :guilty:

Oh yea and everything else in our lives were on that hard drive. (hard lesson learned about backing things up), running this day care, and juggling my 3 kids schedules, I'll fit cutting out the mickey heads now too.

After all, I need some time to sit quietly and think.... :p

If I didn't have so much to do, I wouldn't feel right.

I just de-backed about 40 alien green Mickey heads this weekend and I found that a quick way to do it is to cut diagonal slits into the bottom notch of each ear, hold the head and gently tear away the backing behind each ear. Then, tear away the two sides of the face. Finally, tear the bottom.

Doing it in pieces makes the green part less likely to tear (I only lost one!) and less likely to curl up when off the backing.

YAYYYY everyone!!! how are things today?!?!

i'm in a slump! vacay is sooo close yet soo far away! KWIM??? wierd huh??
