Staying offsite-ordered Magic bands, and buying tickets, what next?

Hello,
We are staying off-site 2/17-3/1, and will be visiting the parks for 10 days. I just ordered magic bands from the Disney Store and will be buying our 10 day passes next week. I am guessing I need to link the tickets to the bands and then make sure everything is linked correctly on MDE before being able to book FP+ at the 30 day mark. Is this correct? Is this an easy process? What do I do first? Put the tickets on MDE first, and then link the bands?

My next question is if our first day to visit a park is 2/18 I believe I can make FP+ reservations on 1/19, but we live on the west coast, so can I make them at 9PM 1/18?

I am also under the impression that since we are staying offsite that I will need to make reservations at the 30 day mark for each park we plan to visit 30 days from that date and we cannot book all of our FP+ reservations for all park days on 1/19. Is this correct?

Finally, what happens if one day at the park we lose a MB, or accidentally leave one at the condo? Will we also be given paper tickets when purchasing our passes that we can just pull out to be scanned if this were to happen?

I have a 3 year old that will be wearing a MB. I'm a little nervous of her getting it off or it falling off. Are these things locked on pretty good or easy for a 3 year old to pull off? Will it even fit a 3 year old wrist?

Thank you!

You will need to link your tickets and the MagicBands to your MDE account.

After your tickets are linked, you can schedule your FPs 30 days in advance of each park day.

Your 3 year old does not have to wear her MagicBand. You can keep it in your possession and then scan it at the park entrances and the FP lines for her.

My son was about 2.5 and his stayed on great. He didn't mess with it, though. He did insist on using it whenever we did even though he had no ticket. >D

The Magic Bands can be adjusted for small wrists -- the gray backing can be taken off, leaving just the colored part.

hiro already explained it, but just to make sure it is clear: nothing is "on" a magic band, including tickets. A band is just a link to your MDE account. To make FP reservations, you must have valid tickets linked in your MDE. As long as your bands are also linked to your MDE (input the numbers from the back of the bands and assign them to the correct person), they will work to access your tickets at park entry and your FP reservations at each attraction.

Have a great trip!

And yes we lucky west coasters can make FP+ reservations in the evening of the "day before"
