Are you traveling with kids?
Here are some of the things going on on the BW at night:
facepainting
hair wraps
jugglers
strolling musicians
magicians
entertainers
BW type games
surrey bikes
ice cream parlor
shops
restaurants

You can also see part of the Illuminations fireworks from the BW. There are great restaurants(we love Spoodles), ESPN is cool too. You can also walk over to Swan/Dolphin, YC/BC and go to any of their restaurants and shops. There are also some shops on the BW. You can walk over to the YC marina and rent boats. The pool is nice and there is a good slide. There is a community hall over by the quiet pool. Here you can rent videos, the kids can play board games, or video games and ping pong. There are tables with all kids of coloring sheets and crayons. There are toys and popcorn for sale. They also have different activites for the kids for a small fee, some are free. Arts and craft type of stuff. They also have some games the CM's play by the pool with the kids.

The overall look and feel of this resort is just spectacular! We love it, We have always encountered friendly CM's. There are also great spots to relax on rockers and people watch or read a book. There are tables on the BW around the lake with great views of the other resorts. Perfect for an evening treat of ice cream! The ice cream parlor there is great. You could always walk over to Epcot or MGM and eat dinner at either one. Oh, there is also an arcade that my kids seem to like. As far as adult only entertainment, I know they have Jellyrolls and the Atlantic Dance Hall. Can't help you with those since we are always there with our kids.
You'll have a great time there! It's our favorite resort. You will also be spoiled by the villa. That's why we became DVC members!

Desnick has provided you with a detailed wonderful account of the Boardwalk area.

If I had to sum it up briefly....I would say "Festive" atmosphere with a Great Location!
