We are staying at rpr and planning on going to us side first thing in the morning. My question is would it be faster to walk to us or to take the ferry boat over. I have never stayed onsite before and have no idea where the boat drops u off in comparison to just walking over. Thanks

If you walk you come out at Margarittaville close to IOA and if you take the boat then it takes you to the middle of citywalk.
Either way its not a long walk but like you this July will be my first time at RPR and can't wait :goodvibes

The way we do it is if the boat is as the dock or about to, we ride the boat.
If there is no boat, quicker to walk than wait, walking only takes about 12mins. plus its a beautiful trail.

just to add, when you walk cross over the bridge heading to IOA then go right at NBA , this saves some time
and distance.

We have stayed in tower 1 and found it quicker for us to walk. One time we went to catch a boat and would have had to wait for a second one to come because the first one was full, so we decided to walk instead.

We always took the boat if we were going to US and walked if we were going to IOA. Walking you get out closer to IOA and the boat lets you off in the middle but it seemed faster to me to use the boat for Universal vs. walking. It's probably no different just a matter of perception most likely.

Luckily we never had to wait for a boat, there always seemed to be one waiting or arriving when we got to the dock. :thumbsup2

like tricky1, If their is a boat at the dock we would go and get it otherwise just walk to the park, the boat lets you off opposite Nascar Grille.
we usually walk then have a look in the shops on the way, no rush as you will have your room key for express lines. Like ky07 we will be there in July as well

We have't used the water taxi in over two years. We have always liked the walk, and even though it comes out at Margaritaville I think it is quicker. Not to mention that you have to time the water taxis, every 15 minutes. I suggest the walking.:thumbsup2

:thumbsup2 Youre going to love it. I promise you will never stay off-site again.RPR has always been great for us.As far as walking its your choice. For us we just wate for the boat.Save the foot workout for the parks.

::yes:: Tower 1 = best of view of IOA and quickest walk.... I prefer to walk at MY pace instead of waiting for the boat to fill up and putz over to CW. Keep in mind, that bags ARE checked prior to boarding the boat...and if a lot of people are taking the boat, that slows ya down a bit.

We loved the walk and we were in tower 3. It is a beautiful walk. We usually stay at PB and the walk from RPR is MUCH shorter!! I think we ended up taking the boat just once or twice and walked the rest of the time. I love the walk at night the best.
