Staying at Riverside : Show me pics, get me excited!!

We will be there April 30 Has anyone done their wash there? We are taking the disney cruise after we stay here and I would like to do out wash before we leave

We've done laundry here most trips. Two bucks/load to wash, and two to dry. Depending on what you're drying, might need to run dryer a second time. We brought several Purex Complete 3-in-1 laundry sheets. Worked great, and cut down on hauling baggies of laundry powder and anti-static sheets. We brought quarters along, but if you forget, there is a machine that will turn your paper money into quarters. Great to relax at the pool while you "work" at laundry. Don't forget to pack a 'Tide' pen!And clothespins to use on clothesline in your bathroom!

I love this place... I'll be there too from May 1-6 and again August 21-27. I'll have to dig a few pictures we took last fall. It's such a beautiful place.

Is there enough detail in your original photo to see what the text says by the way?

Unfortunately there isn't enough detail to read the text. Since it was so long ago, I really don't remember what it said...Thinking back, I wish I had gotten a close-up picture of the text.

We were pleasantly surprised with the resort!! We just got back from a surprise trip on Easter Weekend and stayed in the Alligator Bayou at PORS. We LOVED it! The pool was great, the grounds were lush and beautiful, and Disney ambiance was just awesome! The architecture and attention to detail is nothing less than Disney Perfect! The room was "roomy" with comfy beds and plenty of space for our family of 5.

We all very much enjoyed the Ole Man Island Pool... it was large, spacious with plenty of chairs, a bar near by and a TON of fun!! This was the first Mod Resort we have ever stayed at and we were pleasantly surprised!! It was phenomonal!

I didnt feel that we were too far away from anythng. AKL seemed the farthest - but it is from most any resort at WDW. The staff was courteous and great, and even though we did not eat at the dining hall there or Boatwrights, it looked and smelled amazing! We bought refillable mugs and went in there a few times here and there within our 3 days onsite. I wish we were able to stay longer, but it was just long enough to get me through to next year!! I dont think you will be disappointed!!

Super excited that we found this thread!!! We will be staying at POR for the 1st time 12/28/2011 - 1/11/2012 and we are super excited. Im already doing things daily for our trip!
We will be celebrating New Years and our Anniversary also on New Years day, as well as our daughters 18th b-day while we are there. I have requested 2 rooms in the mansion buildings and really hope even though they dont guarantee that we get them that we do get them as the mansion buildings are the reason we decided to pick this MOD resort for the romantic feel seeing as how we are celebrating our anniversary.
Last time our 1st ever trip to the world in 2006 we stayed at the Boardwalk Villas and loved the resort. We are in Cali and love staying at the GCH or the DLH. I really cant wait to get back to FLORIDA!!!

Yes Yes a PTR sounds like a good idea for me. I am also creating T-shirts and a decorated travel binder as well as a nice scrap book of pre trip, trip, and post trip....so between all these things I hope it keeps me busy because I wish we were leaving tomorrow

Are there accessible rooms in the mansion buildings? i havent stay at POR since it was dixie landings!! we usually stay at FT wilderness but are staying at POR in 2012
