Staying at Pop?

I LOVE Pop Century, have stayed there twice! The rooms are clean and nice, the food court is wonderful, the pools are great! Personally, I loved going to the computer pool, it was more quaint and quiet compared to the main pool.

We LOVE Pop! It's my kids favorite resort, and we've stayed at many--AKL, Poly, Dolphin, WL, POR, CBR, AOA. It has a great energy/vibe to it and the CMs are some of the friendliest and knowledgeable at the resorts We really like the food court and location next to the lake, and walking access to AOA. You will have a great time. In fact I am trying to decide between 2 rooms at Pop vs 1 room at YC, CBR, POR or AOA-suite for our upcoming trip! We are going to be a party of 5 this time so it makes it tough--Pop is just such a great value!

We've stayed at both and all in our party greatly preferred Pop over CSR. There wasn't anything wrong with CSR, we just thought Pop was the better place to stay. Not only would I never pay more to stay at CSR, but if the pricing was the same, I would still choose Pop by a large margin.

Plenty to do for the whole family at Pop. Food court is awesome, arcade is great for the kids, and the Hippy Dippy pool is a blast! You'll love it!

I just returned last week from a 4 night stay at Pop with my DD16. We had an absolute blast. We spent most of the time in the parks but our room was spotless and very comfortable. I won't hesitate to stay there again. I asked my daughter where she wants to stay on our next trip and she said Pop! The room was perfect for our needs and fit our budget. This was a short, budget trip for us but I'd stay there again regardless of my budget. The buses were awesome. We never waited at all. Ever. Enjoy. We can't wait to go again.

Thanks for posting this question! I recently modified my reservation from Riverside to Pop due to unexpected recent expenses! But I can't get over the fact that Pop only has ONE sink in the room. Therefore, I also need some major coaxing into staying at Pop!

What do you need more then one sink for? My kids argue when they share one sink at the values and they argue over who gets which sink at the moderates. You can't win. I love Pop more then Riverside.

We liked the Pop. My only complaint is the beds. I wish Disney would go with Queen beds in all its resort rooms for what you pay.
But Pop was great.
We liked everything we ate in the food court. The buses were easy.
Our room was clean.

We also spent most of our time in the parks.

I agree. We enjoyed Pop for our stay over this past weekend, but queen size bed would be better. I was surprised they only had full size beds when we got to the room. Decorations inside the rooms were minimal, but we spent most of our time at the park anyways. Enjoyed the large food selection in the food court. Clean rooms and I thought it was a great resort to stay at.

We've stayed at POP many times and have stayed at CSR twice. I would stay at POP over CSR any day~ although I loved the beautiful grounds at CSR and the main pool is great, that's where it pretty much ends for us. (OK, and the beds were better too~) We've not had great experiences at CSR at all and have had nothing but great ones at POP. Just our personal experiences~ For the value, it's a great option!

We are Disney Vacation Club members and stayed at the Beach Club Villas, Animal Kingdom Lodge, Saratoga Springs, Tree House Villa, Bay Lake Towers, Caribbean Beach Resort and Port Orleans and STILL love staying at Pop Century when we are low on points. Pop Centaury immerses you in the world of Disney.

We had great trips at all 3 resort levels and have never regretted one of them. In a way I feel sorry for the folks that say they can only stay deluxe etc. "Variety is the spice of life"

Love this opinion! I find it frustrating when people insult the values!! I feel Disney has done a good jib with them, and although we enjoy MOD and Deluxe too, we love the Values!

One sink at Disney is better than 2 sinks at home!

Pop is great! I am grateful when we get to go, we know many who do not have this option. We will be switching to a value for our upcoming trip due to the current state of the Canadian $ but we are just happy to be heading to the Magic place!!

Speaking of pools - the computer pool is actually the monitor and the keyboard is to the side. Go to one of the top floors and look at the pool below. The bowling pin pool is even cooler. If you go to the top of the one of the buildings around it and look down, you can see the actual alley and groove marks. Also note the "lockers" for storing shoes.

Also, check out the names of the songs on the jukebox selections. And notice that the music played is different in each section. You will hear 50s in the 50s section, etc.

I forgot about that! It is another one of the awesome features there! Pop is definitely my favorite Value resort!

We once did a split stay with 5 nights at POP and then 2 nights at AKL as a surprise treat for my family. Not sure it was a treat because my two children kept talking about how the food court, arcade, pool, etc were better at POP. And we had a savannah view, so they had live animals outside their room at AKL! Enjoy!

We stayed at Pop for three nights earlier this week, I asked at checkin for a to for a quiet area close to parking and had a wonderful corner room in building 3 of the 50's section looking out over the lake. It really couldn't have been a better location for us!!

Room was very clean, very quiet and we liked the lobby and food court. The buses worked out very well. We took the bus to the MK and to Disney Springs, both times we never waited more than ten minutes.

Our two favorites!!! for moderate and value. Be sure to walk all over AoA - imagineering at it's best right down to the landscape (Nemo landscape looks like underwater plants). Eat at the AoA food court, one of the best on property and they serve it on real plates with real silverware (like CSR).

Save even more money - book a Standard room then request LAKE VIEW. Beautiful scenery, quiet and still a short walk to main hub. We love 50's Lake View!!!!

Totally agree here! We LOVE Pop! Its our fave value. We always book a standard and request lakeview. its so serene and gorgeous! And I agree about walking over to AoA....nice resort to look at plus the food court is awesome!
