I have heard that in order to walk to the monorail from BCV you have to enter Epcot at the World Showcase, and walk to the front entrance out to get the monorail. Is this true?

If it is true, then if you have a hopper-plus pass, you wouldn't want to do that on a "down" day, meaning no parks, because you would be using a day on your pass, correct?

Please tell me there is a way to get to the monorail without using a day on our passes.

I am not sure exactly what you aretrying to do. If you want to get to Cont., Poly or GF you would take the MK bus and than switch to the monorail.

You are correct if you walk in the International Gateway it is a day on your hopper.

Hope this answers your question

You can get to the monorail by driving or taking a bus to any of the monorail resorts or the MK.

If you try to enter Epcot and walk to the monorail, you will use an admission ticket.

You could also take the boat to MGM and then take a bus from MGM to Epcot and get the monorail there.

Enjoy the ride!

I assume you're trying to get to one of the monorail resorts near the Magic Kingdom? If so, you just need to take the Magic Kingdom bus from the BCV and then hop on the monorail outside the Magic Kingdom which stops at all three monorail resorts as well as the Ticket and Transportation Center. The key is to get on the RESORT monorail, and not the EXPRESS monorail to the TTC. You could also take boats to the resorts depending on the time of day, which include Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness.

From BCV, we prefer to walk through Epcot and grab the monorail if we are going to eat at a MK resort. This is especially true if we are going to O'hana's (we walk from T&TC over to the Poly).

If we are going to MK we usually just grab the bus.
