Hi. So I'm hearing a bunch of good stuff about the DHS fireworks. My initial plan had us leaving after BATB 3pm show. But now I'm wondering should we try to find enough to do to stay until fireworks...or go back to Pop and then come back? We don't have park hoppers.

No one in our family actually likes Star Wars or knows much about the franchise. But we like fireworks.

See the Fireworks.

I'll wager that you've never seen some of these specialty pyro effects before.
Certainly not in concert with such great music.

Yeah, couldn't agree more. The fireworks and music are amazing, whether you liked the movies or not.

Star Wars fans or not, the fireworks was one of the best fireworks shows we have seen. We saw it on first night on our trip a few weeks ago, and I'm so glad we did, because we then switched our plans around to see it twice more that week.

In my family's opinion, it's even better than Wishes.

BEST FIREWORKS on property. I would travel to park just to watch them. You don't have to know anything about Star Wars just appreciate good music and awesome fireworks.

And if you are going soon - absolutely see the current fireworks before the new ones start. These are fully shot IN the park so they are so booming you feel them all through your body. Once the new ones start the bigger ones will go up outside the park on the other side of World Dr. While I am sure they will be stunning and cool, you won't have that physical feel of the power of them.

My sisters have never watched the Star Wars movies and I'm kind of over fireworks, but we all thought the Star Wars fireworks were awesome! To be honest, when we watched Wishes the next night, we were actually a bit disappointed!

I haven't seen the Star Wars Fireworks yet but I have seen many, many Disney fireworks including the Frozen fireworks at DHS and every single fireworks show is phenomenal! I wouldn't miss it. If people in your party need a break then go back to Pop in between, but either way I wouldn't miss the fireworks! :-)

They are AWESOME. I saw them two weeks ago in the rain, with pretty horrid visibility and was still blown away. Going back today for the full experience
Not knowing the franchise won't hurt.

I have a 13 year old princess who has LIVED nothing but Disney princesses since she could talk or express an interest at age 2. She knew nothing about Star Wars. We went to see the fireworks back in January. Our family thinks they were the best fireworks show EVER at Disney. The music is awesome. The whole experience was great. Took her into launch bay. Of course she knew who Darth Vader was and a storm trooper but absolutely nothing else. Since then, we have seen all 7 of the movies and back for a 2nd trip. See the fireworks!!!! They are great.

we will be at WDW in March. I was reading about the DHS fireworks and am thinking about heading to DHS just for them. What time are the fireworks and where would be a good place to view them? Thanks!

They have been running at 8pm. We have watched them both times from right in front of the Great Movie ride with the Star Wars dessert party to our left. We have been twice and get there right at 7:30 and stand in the front. They block off the sidewalk for people to get through. We loved it there although I know others have recommended other viewing spots.

Take a break at the Epcot resorts instead of POP. You can ride the boat over to the Boardwalk and grab kiosk or table service dinner. Then explore and shop, ride a surrey bike, or hop on the boat. It makes a time consuming loop and you'll get back to DHS. Check park hours. We are going during spring break and Fantasmic is at 8:30 with Fireworks at 9:30.

If there is one fireworks show you want to try, I'd suggest the Star Wars ones. They are the best Disney has to offer. If you see them and are not impressed, then you know to skip the others. You don't have to be a SW fan to appreciate them.

Disney fireworks are much different than typical, run of the mill July 4th fireworks.

I like the idea above to take a boat to the Epcot resorts on Crescent lake. Walk the boardwalk, get some ice cream at Beaches and Cream at the Beach Club. Plenty of places to have some down time. If you have park hoppers, you can take the boat to Epcot -- go through the International Gateway entrance to World Showcase. Just be sure to leave plenty of time to get back to HS.

We are going in mid June...so, the new fireworks will show, as well as Fantasmic, while we're there (we have the Fantasmic dinner package ADR right now)? I'm a huge fireworks fan so, if I have to choose, I'd want to see the new ones.

We just got back and Symphony in the Stars was outstanding. Definitely worth it. DD did not want to stay for them, but after she saw them, she was glad she stayed.

You didn't mention Fantasmic, but it is, in my opinion, the best show at any of the parks. We would not miss Fantasmic or the Star Wars fireworks.

They usually do the Star Wars fireworks right after Fantasmic. We were able to see Fantasmic, do a little shopping, then walk to find an excellent viewing spot for the fireworks.

If you must take a break, then the pp's suggestion of going over to the Boardwalk is a good one. However, my DD and I were at HS from open to close and just managed to fit in everything we wanted to do. We still did not do everything there is to do. Plan to see some shows. If you will be there before April 2nd, see LMA. It is a great show and will be closing down after April 2nd :(. They have a 4 pm show. Even if you don't like Star Wars, the new Star Wars attractions are pretty cool and well done. Have dinner (Sci Fi cafe is really fun if you can get an ADR).

Sounds like you were able to see both Fantasmic and the Star Wars fireworks the same night...Can I ask where you watched both from?
