Define "smoother". Typically, the lower and more midship you are, the less movement you'll feel. There are tradeoffs for moving higher or off the midline.

My preference - deck 2. But I didn't really feel a whole lot of difference up on deck 10.

Thank You! I did book a stateroomm on deck 2, but was thinking of changing it to deck 8. But, yes deck 2 it is then.
Smoother: as in smooth sailing not to much movements.

Deck 2 should be a better value.
I don't think you will notice much difference in 'smooth' either deck.
I would stay on Deck 8 because it is closer to the pools.

... and the buffet ! On deck 2, you might feel more engine noise/vibration but I agree that the feel for the movement of the ship itself will not be different from one deck to the next. The entire ship is rocking.

My daughter, who has bad motion sickness, prefers lower decks and inside staterooms where she can't see anything moving.
