Stateroom decorations in an inside cabin?

Hi all ~

I was wanting to order birthday decorations for DS for our Feb. cruise, but we are in a cat. 11 and now I'm worried that the decorations will make an already enclosed-feeling stateroom (to me) feel that much smaller. Does anyone have any experience with decorations in an inside stateroom?

Thanks!

I would order the decorations! The cat. 11 room is not that small! We had 2 , cat. 11 rooms with 7 people and on the night of our anniversary, all 7 of us were in 1 cat.7 room eating cake and celebrating! There was a king size bed, coffee table, couch, pull down bed. Plenty of room, especialy for the actual amount of time that you will spend in there!

Go Ahead and Decorate!!!!!

Have Fun!!::MinnieMo ::yes::

Oh, we spend a lot of time there, and I'm used to the cat. 7... and I'm claustrophobic. LOL I just know how small any space without natural light feels to me, but I'm also trying to decide if I want to even spend money on it... it seems like a lot of money for a few decorations, and DS likely won't even care. I just think it would be neat! I like festive stuff. :)

Gina, this past summer my kids were going to order the decorations for my birthday and i happened to see what you actually got for the money and said it would be better to go to the local dollar store or wal-mart and get your own and do it yourself. same stuff, much cheaper price. pack some away and when ds is out of the cabin decorate it up. he'll love it.:wave2:

Don't worry about the cabin size. The Cat. 11s are really not that much smaller than the 10s. And once you hit 10, the cabin size is the same up through Cat. 5, with the only difference being a porthole, verandah, or lack of one. The 11s are a bit shorter because they do not have the split bathroom, but still plenty room (of course, "roomy" is a relative term when applied to ships :D ).

I know, and the cabins are so beautiful... I just always feel like I'm in a tomb if I don't have a window somewhere. Even as much as I love camping, the only tent I was okay to buy was one where the whole roof unzips down to see-through mesh, so I wouldn't feel like I was underground or something. :) It's just a "thing"...

And Tigger, I think you're right... I already have stuff to decorate the door, and I can bring some more to do the inside myself. It really is a lot of money, and this cruise is a much leaner one this time... I could buy him something in Mickey's Mates for the same amount of money, that he could take home and play with and stuff.

Thanks for the dose of common sense. :)

I'm going to the local "card outlet" and getting birthday decorations for DD. We actually like the Cat 11...not claustrophobic at all. It is a teensie bit smaller than 5-10, but not much. For under $10 and a roll of scotch tape, I can decorate the cabin. AS you said, child may not care, and they'll probably get tossed at the end of the cruise....

I want to order the room decorations for Mom's birthday to surprise her- does this come with my ticketing documents or do I need to call the mouse and ask for it?
