When I was 16 I went to Disney with our high school band and I remember looking at the contemporary and thinking... One day maybe i will get to stay there for a night.
Fast forward to when I was 19 and got Married and tried to go to Disney for our honeymoon during spring break while being completely uneducated Disney wise. We stayed in a flea bag motel off sight and when we went by the values I thought, gee maybe some day we will get to stay there having given up the dream of the contemporary.
Fast forward 9 years and my, dh, and our dd (2) went to cbr in a pirate room and I was fully Disney educated by the DIS.
Throw in a couple budget trips to pop and my dh's surprise of 50 OKW DVC points from a resale contract so we could go every three years and not stay pop.
Well 3 weeks ago our December waitlist came through and we are staying at bay lake tower December 1-8. And now I'm getting crazy excited, because I think back to when I was 16 and when we first got married (11 years ago) and I actually made it to the contemporary (via bay lake tower of course, but close enough for me).
So that's my yay story I wanted to share. I know some people have enough $ to do this kind or thing whenever, but still very excited about the pixie dust of the waitlist comming through. For a week long wait list the first week of December to come through for BLT as those of you who know DVC know is
Any tips on touring in December or blt are always welcome. We are doing 4 day military tickets and MvMCP along with an appointment at BBB for dd the morning before the Christmas party at dtd. We now have dd 5 and ds 2. Can't wait for him to be old enough for pirates league!
