New to the disboards, so not sure if this is where this belongs, but...

I would appreciate some feedback about the plans I'm starting to make for my trip in March...myself :yay:, my 6yo :cutie:, my mom :hippie:, and 2 sisters  (who will probably be doing their own thing for the most part)...this will be a first trip for all but me; and my 6yo's first girl's only vacation...my mom will be using an ECV and will need plenty of rest, and my 6yo is more into character interaction and shows and will probably do a few rides once and then beg to ride the carousels or press a penny every time we pass one, lol...

Sun. 3/6 we are coming in from family's place in Temecula...eta 5ish at the PPH...ressies for Rainforest at 7 are the only plans for that day....

Mon. 3/7 MTMM/Toontown 9:00 until 10:40ish, Goofy's Kitchen at 11:00, resting at PPH after, then would like to see Honey I Shrunk the Audience (they still have that, right?) that afternoon/evening so the 6yo won't pester me about it all week ;)

Tue. 3/8 MM Fantasyland then Rapunzel Meet N Greet/Fantasyland till lunch/break/rest....afternoon no plans yet

Wed. 3/9 Nothing planned yet

Thurs. 3/10 BBB at 10, Lunch at Ariel's at 1:00, afternoon rest, WOC picnic

Fri. 3/11 Breakfast w/ Minnie at 8:10, DCA all day w/ an afternoon rest

Sat. 3/12 Nothing planned yet

Sun. 3/13 Surf's Up Breakfast at 8:00, then check out and drive home...

Whaddya think? I'm not diehard set on anything, just starting actually, since we just booked this week...been a couple years since I went and have always gone last minute w/ a group of friends w/ no plan...so strategizing is fairly new to me, lol...

It's def starting to look great! Make a book of plans. I'll probably post pics of my new in progress one tomorrow.. But it helps SOOO much to have a little cheat sheet. Some trip reports have them too.

You didn't list fireworks or Fantasmic is that something you want to do?

This is the correct place to post this.

Honey I shrunk is now Captain EO. sorry.

Because of your dates as PP mention Fireworks and F! will be on the weekend so you might want to plan that in.

Also FYI, WoC picnics can be picked up 11:30am until and hour before the show. Don't plan to eat them while waiting or watching the show because you will have to stand up. Honestly if your AG lunch was earlier I would do rides after lunch pick up picnics, they come with a resuable bag. Take the picnics back to you room and eat them after naps.

Good IDEA!!!

Still debating whether we want to do fireworks on Friday or Saturday, and we will probably pass on Fantasmic this time, since no one else is interested in watching w/ me...

Ah, well, she'll get over it...maybe if none of us talks about it between now and then she'll even forget about it ;)

I like the idea of grabbing the picnics and taking them back to the hotel...great idea :thumbsup2

Always plan to see the fireworks at the earliest time that it fits into your schedule. They can frequently be cancelled, usually due to wind. Because DL is so close to populated areas, they're very cautious if there's any wind at all. If you leave it until your last night, you're begging for disappointment.

See HydroGuy's Fireworks Rule.

First off... Welcome to the Dis! These are extremely helpful boards. So I hope you get much out of it.

On your first day... It sounds really good. Just chill and relax, have some dinner, and even walk around Downtown Disney a bit. Its gorgeous, expecially at night time.

For Goofy's Kitchen if you are in Toontown until 10:40ish and you have reservations for Goofy's at 11. You could be shorting yourself on time. Depending if your taking the monorail or walking it could save time, but even still I would leave for Goofy's a good half hour before your reservation. If you get to Goofy's a few minutes early then the hotel has lots of things to look at and keep you entertained, but I wouldnt want you to miss the meal. It's so much fun.

Honey I shrunk the audience is no longer. They changed it to Michael Jackson's Captain EO.

As for everything else... Looks really good. It's nice to have an idea as to what you want to do, but just go with the flow, give yourself that little space to breath, and not have to worry about a deadline schedule. It's enough having to keep up with reservations and show times, let alone when you should be at the next ride. Enjoy yourself. You will have a great time.
