Starting a Trip in the Afternoon - where to start?

Thanks for all the great suggestions. After running scenarios on Ridemax, I decided that DCA recommendation is AWESOME and we'll do that. My first day looks like this:

Wednesday - June 8
DL open until 9 p.m.
DCA open til 8:30 pm
We won’t all arrive at the hotel until between 1:30-4 pm
Don’t forget to get “first visit” buttons for the kids

California Adventures Probably less busy than DL in afternoon
- Check for Soarin’ FP or Grizzly River Run FP
- do as many of the following as we want/ time allows

Hollywood Pictures Backlot
- Disney Junior show
- DisneyAnimation interactive thing
- Monsters Inc. Ride
- Muppet 3D

A Bug’s Land (4 preschool Rides & 2 activities)
Soarin’
Grizzly River Run

*Consider eating at Taste Pilots depending on time

Hop over to Disneyland for Parade and Fireworks

- See the Castle,
- 4:00 or 6:30 parade

7:30 - Find a spot to watch the fireworks.
8:40 P.M. - Fireworks - best place to watch is in the hub, Matterhorn side.

PS This is assuming a 1:30 arrival at the hotel.
