So with the NFL 2009 season about to kick off I am officially starting a thread for sign ups. I will also be playing if enough people want to play. If enough people sign up I can set a date for a draft.

Which FF service/platform are you going to use?

Hmm...I could be interested. What kind of league are you thinking?

For online systems I'm partial to the CBS Sportsline system, but that costs money. The ESPN system was OK, I think it was free.

Doc (who won the regular season 12-1 in his 2nd ever FFL season thanks to Adrian Peterson, and now gets to keep him as it has become a keeper league :) )

With my first draft pick, I choose Pete. He's gonna RANT all over you other teams!!!!!! popcorn::

That is brave of you. My DH is commisioner of his work league and it takes alot of time. Have fun!!!

I was planning on using espn, Disney owned :) plus they do the best job on it and it is free which is a plus. We need to have atleast 4 teams which including me we have. In one league we can have up to 20 teams on ESPN's fantasy league. I have a buddy that will join if we have an odd number of people that want to play.

These are people that are signed up so far. Please send me your email addy so I can send information about the league when It is set up:

These are the extra people that have signed up if we get enough to start another league we will. I am not sure what to do right now I really didnt think that we would get 12 people signed up for 1 league. These people are alternates right now until I figure out what to do.

The Grumpus
Flyingcat2003
Parrotheadlois

20 teams is tough - too diluted. 10 teams is nice...you have to at least think about who you are playing, how to handle your backups. Only 4 and you pretty much have all tier 1 and 2 players filling your roster and there is little strategy.

You can count me in, although if it gets too crowded I don't mind sitting out.

On ESPN I already have a login - doconeill1, so I don't know if you need my address. PM me if you do.

Can we get any sort of official stamp of approval from Pete, so we can make it the First Official DISboards Fantasy Football League?

I was figuring on 10 teams myself. I agree that 20 teams is a bit much I'm gonna put a limit to the first 12 people to sign up have a slot. There are 5 people signed up right now including myself. As soon as we are either full or it seems like we are not gonna get anymore players we will set a draft date. I will keep u posted on new information as it arrives :)

If you got some more room, I'd love to be in.

Just be prepared for a good ole fashioned butt whoopin'.

if your taking people from across th pond count me in(but i will need to do my homework on how to play first)

i say if we go with 12 teams, we have 6 playoff teams. the teams which fail to make the playoffs cannot play next year in the 2nd annual DIS league, thus opening 6 spots!

Aaargh...now I'm having images of a tiered system, relegation, Premier League... :)

I am most DEFFINATELY in (if space is available)
I just do a very small one with my immediate family, this would be a lot of fun!

aaronmckie@yahoo.com if needed :)

Oh this is so tempting. I spent 15 years running my local league and just retired completely this year from FF. I primarily used FLM / MFL.com . Has Pete commissioned the DIS cup yet? :goodvibes

I've got to think about this.
