Star's Hollow ~ The Gilmore Girls

Unfortunately I didn't get around to watching it tonight, too much stuff going on. But it means that tomorrow I have 2 to watch :thumbsup2. I will update you tomorrow as to what they were about.

Episode #3 of season 1 was on here today. I'm bummed that I've never seen the last season in reruns.

I don't believe that they have been shown. Your best bet is to buy the DVD.

Looking forward to it. See you tomorrow.

Just saw the episode where Lorelai and Rory have 4 Thanksgiving celebrations to attend. Kirk gets a cat and names him Kirk.
So much going on - great episode.
My favorite line is at the meal at the Gilmore's where one of the guests comments that Lorelai has her mother's wit and Emily replies: "I wish she'd give it back".

He he, 4 Thanksgivings, sounds fun. How is your thanksgiving?

Ok I have just watched 2, yesterdays and todays. Although I am a little bit confused as I didn't get around to watching yesterdays as early as I would have liked and had to stop half way through to watch todays before I could watch the rest

Anyhoo, in yesterdays episode Rory and Logan invited Luke and Lorelai to Logans house in Martha's Vineyard. TBH it wasn't the funniest episode but it was really nice to see more of the country in it, another gorgeous looking place, although not quite Stars Hollow :)

Todays episode was Logan's sisters wedding and Rory found out that that he had slept with all her friends when Rory and him had broken up, something which Rory contested stating that to be broken up both parties must know about it. It reminded me so much of the whole Ross-Rachel "We were on a break" situation :lmao:. Rory then broke it off with Logan and went to a bar where she met Doyle who was very drunk as he had been kicked out by Paris who had gone mad since the whole Rory-taking-over-the-paper situation, you still with me :confused3. Meanwhile Lorelai was looking after Gigi, Christopher's daughter who was behaving like a little brat, it was quite funny to watch. I do find it a bit strange how suddenly Lorelai and Christopher are so friendly after everything that happened in the past, I thought she hated him:confused3 Can someone enlighten me?

Very nice, thank you! It's quiet and peaceful. Watched the Macy's parade with my children and will eat a turkey dinner tonight.

And what have you been doing today?

Lorelai and Christopher have had many issues in the past.
They have their good times and bad times.
In season 2, we think they're getting back together, when he finds out that Sherry is pregnant and he goes back to her.
When he divorces Sherry, he has an interest in getting back together with Lorelai but she's already with Luke. When Lorelai's parents renew their vows and he shows up at the wedding, things again go bad between them. By the time season 5 or 6 comes along, she goes to him for comfort after she breaks up with Luke.
I don't really want to go any further since I will be telling you about episodes that you probably haven't seen.
If you want me to tell you more, let me know. I hope I haven't confused you!

Ah that sounds really nice. I would love to see the Macy's Parade. Did you watch it live or on TV?

Thanks, it clears it up a bit until I get to watch it from the beginning. I have seen quite a bit of Gilmore Girls but here and there, so it has been loads of different episodes in any order etc. But till lately I had never seen Christopher, so I just presumed that he wasn't in it. Especially more recently when Lorelai said they only see him once a year and that they didn't like him. But now, like you say, she is really leaning on him and they are becoming really friendly.

I guess I have lots to catch up on :goodvibes

I watched it on television.

He's shown up at least once every season, if I'm not mistaken. Keep watching......

Wow thats really good. I have found most of them here for £12 each, not quite as good but still pretty cheap, but they don't have season 1

As I write this I am actually just watching some episodes of it on catch up ... isn't Gigi a handful :lmao:

Ok another question for you all about the Gilmore Girls.

What is your favorite episode and why?

Hey everyone, it has been quiet around here lately.

I am just beginning to see Lorelai and Christopher's relationship get deeper. They are a lot more friendly, they seem to rely on each other a bit and help each other out. And obviously behind this Lorelai is having problems with Luke and has announced to her parents that they won't be getting married, before turning up on Sookie's doorstep babbling on about very little. And now they are at Emily and Richard's and are getting all touchy. Obviously I know what is going to happen but it is quite strange watching it happen.

Hi there!
I missed speaking with you about my favorite show, over the last few days.
My DD and I took a short trip to Disney. I got back on Thursday but needed some time to catch up.
Have you seen anything new or interesting on the latest episodes?

Oh you went to Disney, I am so jealous. I hope you and your DD had a great trip, I bet it looks so beautiful there with all the christmas lights and decorations :cloud9:.

I have still been watching the great Gilmore Girls but now have a predicament .
On Friday (they play them Monday to Friday) they showed a great one, which when I looked it up on IMDB happened to be the last of season 6. Funnily I had seen the ending of this one before, but quite a while ago before I actually started watching it. Anyhoo, the episode has Rory saying goodbye to Logan who is off to England for a year, throwing him a rather funny, British based party (loved her English accent :lmao:). On the other end Lorelai has been avoiding Luke and in the last episode told Emily she wasn't going to marry him. She went to Friday night dinner, along with Christopher who Emily was trying to set up with some psychiatrist. However, after a rather funny dinner with Luke cornering Lorelai in the bathroom to help him get away, Lorelai talking all crazy to intervene and then being told to be quiet, Lorelai ends up in the back of the psychiatrists car. Well Lorelai then goes to see Luke and asks him to elope there and then and when he says he cant she announces she has to leave. Next thing she turns up on Christopher's doorstep. Well I could kind of guess what was going to happen next as I know how it all ends... and yep Lorelai wakes up in Christopher's bed. I actually thought it was kind of nice, they seemed to have a spark between them and Lorelai and Luke never seems to work properly, Lorelai just wants to settle down and Luke can't offer her that. I thought it was great how the episode started with Lorelai waking up on Sookie's sofa listening to her and Jackson talking, and ended with her waking up in Christopher's bed listening to him and Gigi talking, it was really clever.

Ok so you probably didn't need to hear all that, you probably know what happens, but on to my predicament. I really don't know whether to start watching the next series now or not. I want too, and am going to be so bored without my Gilmore Girls fix every day, but at the same time I kind of wanted to watch it all from the beginning before I watch the final series and see how it all ends. So what do you think....

The way it works here, they still don't show the last season in reruns. So you might want to check - the next rerun might be the first show.

If they are showing the final season next, I'd probably keep watching if that's the only choice. : )

It was a beautiful place to be, at this time of year. I usually go in the summertime. This was a big change for me.

I think that you should continue watching what's on tv. They won't be going much further before they go back to the first season. They have never yet shown repeats of the last season. I remember seeing the episode that you mentioned, not that long ago. Two weeks ago, they went back to season one. You should keep a watch on the tv schedule.

Thanks, its coming on in about an hour so I will check to see if its gone back to the beginning again.

I would love to go around Christmas, I'm glad you got the chance :thumbsup2

I will check it out in a minute and see what episode is on. Its on in about an hour so will see. If its gone back to the beginning I have missed the first one as I was out yesterday, oh bother :guilty:. So have they ever played the last series over there then?
