I just found out Starring Rolls closes at 4, and we'll be eating at the Brown Derby F! Package for lunch on our DHS day, so we'll be stuffed after those 3 courses, but I really want to try the Butterfinger cupcake. Will they put in in a box so we can enjoy it later that night?

I'll bet a snack credit that that sucker doesn't see the end of F! that night. They are so good.

Lets see, it looks like a mid morning snack to me....

They did it for me last week. But be forewarned, it was so huge it wouldn't fit in the box. So I had to walk around with the top of the box open until I finally broke down and ate it. :woohoo::goodvibes

OMG that thing is sooo good, but way to rich to eat by yourself.. I ate like a quarter of it last yr.. This yr I am sharing with DD. I may just get it on the way out the park and bring it back to the room..

Does anyone know if they ever run out of them?

yes they will! we got a couple of them and took them back to BWV! Actually, I walked to DHS just to get them and take one back to my wife. It was well worth the walk....LOL

We could close the tops, but it did squish it a bit...still tasted the same. They are generally pretty cold when you get them, so they should keep.

They will normally put them in a box- I have been there when they didn't have boxes as well as when they haven't had bags that the boxes fit in- if you feel you need it in a bax and bag you may want to ask when you walk in. They are delicious and you will be full from the meal and ready to eat one when you come out.

I have seen times when certain cupcakse were not available.

I would get there as early as possible. We stopped by around 2:30pm and they were all out. The cupcake we had was good, but it was no Butterfinger cupcake!

Yes get there early as they can sell out. The cupcake is awesome, I could not finish it!!! I also had some chocolate one with peanut butter, so yummy!!!

I just had my first one last week! OMG it was so rich - I had to eat it in 3 servings over 2 days! I also took it "to go" and as others have said - it doesn't fit in their boxes, even on it's side, and it was a HUGE mess til I got it back to the hotel. I got it just before leaving for the day, around 2pm, and there were 2 left. They had no "to go" bags when I was there, so maybe pack a ziplock bag with you that day to get it home in. And if it's a hot day - don't try & carry it around the parks - it will be a mushy mess (but still delicious, I'm sure!) Make sure you get a fork to eat it with, it's HUGE and MESSY!

You know, when we went last Sept, we TOTALLY forgot to go to Starring Rolls to get one. I know, I can't believe it either. Now, I see the picture again....if I could kick my own butt, I would !!! :lmao:

The next time we go, I'm going to excuse myself from my family, go to Starring Rolls, say "take my snack credits and gimme what you got !!" I'm not going another trip without one of those fantastic looking cupcakes!!!!

I also agree with the PP's...get there early....they do sell out of those cupcakes usually earlier then closing time...and they only make their treats once each day...they don't make any more batches when they run out.

Good luck and enjoy...we'll be there in Aug enjoying a Starring Rolls cupcake.

Wow - I had heard good things about the Butterfinger cupcake but after seeing pics, I am virtually speechless!

Curious - OP, how did you find out that SR closes at 4, AND are there other CS places that close early? We're on the QSDP and I have a short list of places I'd really like to hit while we're there.

Here's what was left around 2pm one day last week (crowds were moderate that day):

Check your Times Guide every day for restaurant/attraction closings. On all of my past trips, Starring Rolls has closed earlier than other restaurants in DHS. The closing times can vary from week to week depending on crowd levels.

Wow, that is a pretty decent selection that late in the day! The banana split was good too. We got a third kind, but it isn't there, might have been a white chocolate or something similar. We just discovered Starring Rolls our last trip!

I saw the hours either on WDW Info or All Ears, can't remem which. Like PP said, check times guide.

Thanks all, it looks like we may be splitting this for breakfast after our run to TSM.
