They take both!

If you’re on the Dining Plan, all Starbucks drinks - even venti - are a Snack credit.

No stars if using Dining Snack credits.

You have to use the app or a registered Starbucks gift card to receive stars.

Snack credit wouldn't get you stars. You have to use a gift card loaded to your Starbucks app to get the stars.

I have never had the DD plan but I'm not sure that would work. In order to earn stars have to pay with the Starbucks app or gift card.

You only earn stars when you pay with a registered Starbucks Card or Starbucks Mobile app.

Just to make sure here...I can use giftcards to purchase mugs(right)??

Another question...who knows if the ceramic tumbler type (new) mugs are dishwasher safe or not?? My local Starbucks has the tumbler types not dishwasher safe but the handled mugs are good to go in there.

Starbucks accepts both Disney Gift Cards & Starbucks Gift Cards for ALL purchases.
