If not, whats the closest substitute?

I don't remember seeing a Starbucks on Disney property, but there are a few places that I know of offhand:

Downtown Disney

Ghirardelli in the Marketplace section, of course. They serve lattes, mochas, cappucinos, etc. VERY good too.

Also, upstairs in the Virgin Megastore over on the Westside. I think it's a Seattle's Best...although they might have changed ownership to a different company - Coco Mocha or something like that. They're very good too (although I think I like Ghirardelli's coffee better).

Epcot

Fountain View Bakery over by Innovations - they sell coffee and pastries, etc.

They also have several coffee stands that sell lattes and the like located throughout the park, mostly in World Showcase.

MGM

Cup O' Joe To Go. There's a few locations, including one by TOT.

There are others, but these are what I know of offhand.

The Kona Cafe at the Polynesian Resort has great coffee. It is the only place that I will drink coffee at WDW.

They have the most amazing coffee at the World Showcase :cloud9:

What do they put in that coffee to make it so addictive?!? I too am totally hooked on Starbucks.

There is a little stand, at least there used to be, next to the stage at DTD that has coffee drinks. I am a mocha-aholic. They make a pretty good one.

I may go into withdrawals... I'll have to try the places mentioned. Thanks everyone!

My grocery store sells stabucks ground coffee.. I buy some and brew it in the hotel

If you plan to visit the town of Celebration, they sell Starbucks coffee in the lobby of the Celebration Hotel. Also, there is/was a Barnie's coffee in downtown Celebration that I believe has been or will be changing to a Starbucks. There is also a PJ's coffee, also excellent, at Water Tower Place, the shopping strip mall at the entrance to Celebration.

Easy. Starbucks coffee has about twice the caffeine as most other coffee.

Starbucks in the Dolphin Hotel (Epcot area resort).

There isn't a Starbucks in the Dolphin but Pikabu, the cafeteria in the Dolphin hotel, serves Starbucks coffee - and they're open 24 hours.

Why don't you take this opportunity to break your addiction. It wouldn't hurt to try at least. :thumbsup2

Personally I'm hoping that Disney remains the one place on earth that DOESN'T put in a Starbucks. It's a joke between me and my hubby that Starbucks is to California what Dunkin' Donuts is to FL............one on every corner. :rotfl2:

There are scant few places at DW to get good coffee. Aside from those already mentioned, there are two that I know of:
Tusker house in AK has excellent coffee, espresso and other drinks.
There is/was at least two coffee kiosks at Epcot. I think there is one near China, and one near Mission Space.

The Nescafe instant coffee they sell at most places is undrinkable in my opinion. I understand that because of the volume they deal with, this is the only practicle choice, but I'll take a cafene pill before I drink that sewer water again. :bounce:

I think Starbucks is so popular because it's the first place that most people have tasted decent coffee. Most Americans grew up on canned Folders, and didn't realize that coffee wasn't supposed to taste like it was strained through dirty underwear. There are obviously many other places to get coffee that's as good or better, and cheaper.

I live in Wisconisn, and they are everywhere here also. We also have Caribou Coffee, that is a clone of Starbucks.

I don't drink coffee but DH says that the standard coffee that is served in the restaurants and hotels including counter service is some of the best coffee he's ever had. Why don't you try it. You can get it just about everywhere.

You're right, there are lots of places all over the country where you can find better coffee. I think the reason Starbucks is so popular is because they are so consistent. There are local places that I've found in each city that I've lived in that I prefer over Starbucks, but if I'm in an area I'm not familiar with, I know that the coffee at a Starbucks will be good and will taste pretty much the same as the coffee at any other Starbucks in the country. Of course, this does not apply to places (like the Dolphin) that simply "serve Starbucks coffee". Most of the time, the coffee you find at these places tastes like water.

As far as WDW, I agree that good coffee is extremely hard to find. Most of it tastes horrible. Actually, it's so watered down that it doesn't have much taste. And don't even get me started on what they call a Latte or Cappucino. Yuck.

The espresso at the CS place (Tangierine ?) in Morocco is good.

I thought it was not good at all. Very very weak.
