Starboard or Port?

We want to stay in the State room that faces Castaway Cay and Nassau. Should it be starboard or Port? Do they pull into the dock the same each time?

For castaway you want starboard if you want to see the beaches/activities and port if you want to see the pier/boarding ramps. Nassau we have only been to once and i don't remember which side had what view.

At Castaway, the ships always back in. As PP said, you'll want starboard for the view. At Nassau ships can go either way and I haven't noticed a specific pattern as to when they do what.

At Castaway, the ships almost always back in, it is possible that this can change due to the needs of the ship, but is very rare. If the goal is to see the main beach at Castaway, you would want to be on the starboard side. Nassau can be a little bit different, but the Disney ships do tend to back in. The starboard will have a view of Paradise Island, the port has a city view. Nassau is a very busy port. Due to this, you are likely to see other ships next to you rather than a view directly from one of the Disney ships.

As has been said, it is NORMALLY Starboard that sees the developped side of Castaway. But NOT always. I would never book counting on that because yours could be the cruise that they have to go in bow-first.

I personally love the "undevelopped" side of the island just as much - which is normally Port. And you get the added fun of just being able to walk onto your veranda or look out your window to wave to the island CMs who come to wave the ship off.

Nassau is a crap-shoot as you won't know which berth you're going to be docked at.

Noob here....Waiting for shoes to be thrown at me....wich way is the ship oriented on the website when picking your room? Wouldn't that matter....if ya don't know wich end is up? Or is it written out when finalizing ya room purchase? Ty

Starboard is right side of ship, Port is left. Forward is front and Aft is back. The ship orientation on the website where you pick your cabin is front of the ship is top of page.

When you're looking at the deck plans on the website, up is forward. Right is starboard and left is port.
