I have not been successful in searching for these answers on my own--so, does anyone know if there is a site I can go to to get a schedule of events for DHS during the Star Wars Weekends.

This will be our first time during this event and we are arriving on the last weekend and don't want to wander around blindly .

Thanks.

If you google Star Wars Weekend it will pull up a couple of sites but I haven't seen any actual schedules there. Last year we got to the park about an hour before opening and there were CM's out front handing out the special SWW specific schedules. The Jedi Training Academy runs much like it does on any other day. There are two heats of the Padawan mind challenge, one early, one mid afternoon (two I think, this is the one DS did). The parade was at 11:30 (I think, I still have my info from last year at home, I'll look at it and verify) and following the parade there was a big gathering on the stage of the Jedi training academy. Lots of other things. Characters all over that side of the park all day on a rotational basis. And the hyper space hoopla party (end of the day) was at 7:00 or 7:30 PM.

Get to the park early, they let us in about 30/35 minutes early. There were storm troopers everywhere. DS LOVED IT!!!!!

Thank you. We are arriving on SAt. the 13th of June and I was thinking we would go straight there. But, we may not get there until after lunch , so we may have to go for a full day of this on Sunday the 14th. I don't want to miss the parade at 11:30.

Yes I suggest to plan the whole day for it. Before the park opened the storm troopers come up on top of the covering for the ticket scanners, so that they are looking down into the crowd and do a lot of interaction with the folks waiting there. The parade is not to be missed. After the hyper space hoopla the SWW part is over. We spent the whole day in that area of the park and still did not get to see all the characters.

The day we are going is on a friday and HS closes at 7:00- will the hoopla start /end before closing? I makde dinner ressies at Sci Fi and thought I would be safe doing it at closing so as not to miss anything!

I don't know the answer to that one. We were there on a Saturday and the park was open until 9:00 I think with Fantasmic having two showings, the last being at 9:00. We skipped the hyper space hoopla, had dinner and got in line for the 2nd showing of Fantasmic. The area at the Jedi Training stage gets very congested during SWW.

Thanks for starting this thread - I had the exact same question. I need to do my ADRs next week and I want to plan at lunch at 50s Prime Time. It seems like around 1pm might be a good time. I definitely don't want to miss the parade.

I just found the list of Characters and the dates for the Star Wars Weekend! Go to the Disney web site and on the bottom left, click on Canadian English. I found this when I read on another post that the dates for Fantasmic for June were available there.

Those dates from the canadian site are from last year, you can get an idea on the events and hours for them but the list of celebs will be diferretn, they usually announce the list of celebs about a month before, and the official schedule goes out on the first weekend. Like the PP said go to studioscentral.com there's alot of info there.

Found this. If you follow this link and go to the bottom of the page and click page 1, page 2, etc. It will show you a scanned copy of last years events maps/times guide.

Last year a few weeks before Star Wars weekend both WDW Radio and WDW Today dedicated podcasts to the event. They had schedules and Len (one of the UG authors) had some touring tips.

I would check out those two podcasts closer to Star Wars weekend. I'm sure that the DIS Unplugged will also address it but they did more of a review than a preview last year if I am remembering correctly.

We to arrive on 6-13, and I have been debating on going on Sunday, or going a different day the following week. My 5 YR old loves star wars, but I was wondering if the park will be so packed, that attractions will take a long time to get on to? We want to see Playhouse Disney, and try the Jedi Training. I was wondering if less people will be trying to do Jedi Training later in the week. Are the crowds huge??

i've been debating this....we'll be at wdw june 7-14, and we COULD go to DHS on 7/13, but the reason i hesitate is b/c my DH has a phobia of large crowds. bless his heart, he does his best for wdw but some days are hard on him. however, he is a HUUUUUUGE star wars fan and i have no doubt he would love this experience. can anyone tell me how bad the crowd is, on a scale of 1-10?

The area around Star Tours is crowded. I can't comment on the rest of the park because we dedicated that one day to SWW and stayed mainly in the areas around Star Tours, Backlot, etc. where the characters were at. We spent a lot of time in line for pictures and autographs. The Jedi Training Academy area was packed for those actual times. DS tried for one of them and didn't get picked we decided to wait until our other day at HS (not SWW) to try again and he did get picked and there was less of a crowd.

SWW doesn't really affect the rest of the park crowd wise, of course after the hoopla at the end of the day, some people go to other attractions, but the majority go home to sleep ;) :lmao: . For the Jedi Training I would recommend trying the first one in the morning, the good thing about the Academy during SWW is that they pick more kids because they fight not only Darth Vader but also Darth Maul, so it's double the capacity.
If you or your family are huge SWW this is an event not to be missed, make sure you go by the Information Desk, they can answer any questions about the event.

Unless something's changed, I believe that SW weekends ends on 6/14 ... so you'll want to go on Sunday.

The Jedi Training Academy was added as a daily event (not just SWW). There used to be Star Wars characters in the daily parade (Stars & Cars) but now it's changed to Block Party Bash and I don't really know as that got rained on during our other day at HS. There is always the Star Tours ride. But outside SWW that's about it.

I am so excited for this.
Now, keep in mind, I don't like Star Wars. Have never watched a whole movie, only know a few of the characters.
My kids LOVE it. They eat, breathe and sleep the stuff!
We are surprising them with a trip to do the SWW. They have no idea. I can barely keep myself from telling them!
The last day of school, we are going to go out to dinner to celebrate summer vacation. Inside their happy meals will be their magical express tag! (trust me, we have taken them enough - they know what those tags mean!)
I just can't WAIT for them to find out!
At least I can come here and be excited!
