1. It can get crazy busy, especially last weekends and whenever they have celebs that can be meaningful to SW fans. Even the voice actors can get long lines.
2. It's fun to go to, especially things like the SW character meals, special drinks and all the Merch. This year they will probably push the rebels series, and that will be neat Merch.
3. Depends if you like SW. There are neat characters that you can only find at these weekends.
Lastly: wear sunblock! That weekend + hot small & crowded park can get sweaty and deadly!! And beware of the Clone Wars Obi Won voice actor! His voice is dreamy!

As to your question:
It's crazy but if you're a SW fan is a not miss
We did it this year for the first time. It was hot, it was crowded, it was fun, but we never need to do it again. For us it's a one and done sort of thing. Glad we did it, but don't need to deal with the craziness again.
We are Star Wars fans and loved it every time we went. We didn't do any character meets. The crowds are really up. But, they had a whole tent of merchandise that you probably couldn't get anywhere else.
The Stormtroopers were up on top of the entry way prior to opening. It was really neat!!
Thank you so much! I just tried to book one of the Jedi Mickey meals within my 180+10 day window and the cast member doesn't see it in their system. Any idea when they start booking for the Star Wars character meals? My 3 year old would love the Jedi Mickey show but now I'm thinking my husband and older kids (9 and 7) would really get a kick out of the real Star Wars characters at Sci Fi...any suggestions or experience with either of these meals? Thanks again!

This year was the first year they did these character meals. They were highly successful, so one would assume they would do them again, but there are no guarantees. The advice here is to not get your kids' hopes up just yet. Wait until they are announced.

I agree that we don't know for sure that they'll come back but seeing the change in their schedule you can plainly see that they are getting ready for both of them. Look at the schedule for both restaurants starting May 4th and see how they change their regular hours.
We've been twice and had a wonderful time. While the park was crowded we found that people congregated in certain areas, leaving other areas near empty. The crowd seemed to move in an ebb and flow, and as long as we stayed out of sync it wasn't bad at all.
The best part for us, though, was being with other fans.
