star wars weekends and crowds

Does anyone know when the Star Wars weekends begin? My son is a huge fan and would like to plan a trip for the end of May. I read on Mousesavers that the crowds in May aren't bad. Just got back and the crowds were horrible. I really don't want to be in crowds like that again. Can anyone comment on end of May (23-31) crowd level? Thanks!

We go every year @ this time (not the holiday weekend) and the crowds are average.It does get hot during the day, so take your "pool break" then. Best to go to MGM early, leave for "break", then return @ dinner time. It's much cooler this way, and you will avoid the big crowds.

Just a question... I am going to surprise my husband for his 40th birthday... (he is a huge Star Wars fan) Is the Star Wars type things only on the weekends or all week long?

Star Wars Weekends take place on 4 to 6 weekends in May and June.
