Star Wars Weekends 2011

Anyone know the dates of SWW 2011?, or about when they get posted?, we would love to go, we have never been becuase school vacation is the deciding factor. any info would be great...

They are usually not announced until I think around the preceding January. Usually it is the last two weekends in May and the first two weekends in June, but in 2007 and 2008 all four SWW were in June.

www.touringplans.com is estimating SWW to start Fri. May 20th. We plan to be there on Friday the 20th. I hope the new Star Tours will be open.

I think we should have the official dates soon. I believe last year they announced them near the end of December.

They are typically scheduled to be the last two weekends in May and the first two weekends in June. Star Tours: The Adventure Continues is scheduled to reopen on May 17th, giving DHS an opportunity to kind of "soft open" the attraction before the major Star Wars crowds arrive.

We are also hoping for the 3rd weekend, we will be arriving on the 19th of May. I e-mailed Disney hoping to get some info, It tough when your making your plans more then 6 months out and you can't get any info on Star Wars Weekend.

We booked our resort and made ADR, yet still could not get and info. I will be very disappointed if this is not the right weekend.

I feel if Disney sticks to the 180 day for dining they should at least give info on what going on that week.

I completely agree. Disney should announce dates for these big events at least 6 months in advance due to vacation planning, especially ADR's.

We are scheduled to be at WDW from 5/14 - 5/21 and are really hoping SWW starts on the 20th. Maybe the dates will be announced this week. I think last year they were announced around 12/22.

Last year dates were announced Dec. 22nd, so lets hope it comes soon. Celebrities were announced in March.

We are booked 5/12-5/21. Since this is a "rescheduled" trip for DH and I, and DH being the SW buff he is....I am praying to the mouse Gods that there is SWW this weekend!

Darn! I'm going May 12th to go on my TransAtlantic Disney Cruise on the 14th of May. Went to SWW in 2010, OMG it was so freaking hot I really thought we were going to die.

In 2007 I tried to plan my honeymoon around Star Wars weekends (I'm just a teensy bit of a fan ), but of course, that was one of the years they did them all in June. There was no way I could have known a year in advance that it would change. Still haven't made it for Star Wars weekends, but I'm hoping to someday.

I'm booked May 19-23 @ BCV; sure hope SWW starts on the 20th!!! Just waiting for dates to be announced before I buy airfare...

I'd say 11-months or at least over 7-months so those with home resorts at beach club or boardwalk can book their rooms. No way to get bcv in late May-June at 6-months, and that's where you'd want to be.

we're booked 5/26-6/6 to cover our bases in case SWW is moved to June. If it starts on the 19th (I think it will) then we'll plan on arriving on the 18th instead.
