Star Wars Weekends 2011

Did you get to see all of these characters in one day? Also, do they sign autographs?

hey= they are all there every day, but honestly I think it would be hard to see everyone of those characters in one day. Last year we went five or six days over three weekends. Some days were so hot we only stayed a couple of hours though. Its all in how you pace yourself I guess, but depending on lines and stuff I think it would be very, very, very hard to see all those characters in one day. Because they rotate the times they are out and you'd have to hit it very perfectly.

Beyond the droids I can't remember anyone not signing autographs.

I will be going to DHS sometime either May 14 or 15th.. the week before the "official" launch of ST 2.0, any chance that weekend will be soft launched for me to be able to ride? :D

who knows. If they do it will probably be a hit or miss thing with no signs or posted times, just random if you happen to catch it. Probably a good chance for that sort of thing.

The 2011 dates for Star Wars Weekends are May 20-22, May 27-29, June 3-5 and June 10-12. Ashley Eckstein (Ahsoka) is the celebrity host every weekend and Anthony Daniels (C-3PO) will be there the first two weekends.

I hope everyone's plans work out!

So excited we will be there the last weekend of SWW!! We went during our first trip to Disney and the boys loved it. My boys eat, sleep and breathe Star Wars. Since we couldn't suprise them w/a trip to Disney, we are suprising them w/SWW. We actually are telling them we are going to miss SWW this year. Our plan is to show up at HS and see how long it takes them to figure it out. DH and I are taking bets to see if they will notice the sign when we get off the bus or if they won't realize it until the Stormtroppers come out before park opening. So excited

I am taking my son to WDW for his 9th birthday from May 29-June 3. As I was trying to do a little planning I was very happy to see that SWW was also planned for two of those dates. Unfortunatly they are our arriving and going home dates. Well, with some arranging of our flights, I made a late flight home and will be able to enjoy the June 3 date until probably 4pm.

This will be only our second time at WDW, our first time at SWW so I need some advice. It will be just me and my son, but he has a medical condition that wont allow him to be in the heat for excessive amounts of time and will probably be in a wheelchair/stroller so he wont get tierd to quickly. Do the CM have areas for people to wait with medical condition (we are getting a GAC) so he wont have to wait in the heat? He will be more intrested in dressed up characters than actors. Plus do they allow kids in wheelchairs/strollers into the parade?

We are doing DHS another day for the attractions so this day will be just Star Wars. Any advice would be great.

I don't know about the parade, but I would ask Guest Services when you arrive and use your GAC card as much as possible. Its brutally hot and there is little shade. I would suggest taking a misting fan with you and a shade for the stroller umbrella if possible. Hope you have a great time!

You might want to ask over on the disAbilities section, and see if anyone has experience with SWW over there.

We will be there for the first weekend but May 20 is our last full day in the World. We kind of wanted to spend it in MK but SWW kind of trumps that. We fly out at 5 pm on the 21st which kind of sucks.

I'm really hoping they do a soft opening for ST:II earlier in the week but something as epic as this which has such a huge fan base may not have a soft opening. Fingers crossed though.

Im going may... last week and first week june... i want to see a star wars weekend again... i miss it ... in 2010 i think we saw a star wars weekend. :woohoo:

Hi, there was some bonus pictures on the photopass cd.

WOW... how long did it take you to get all those pictures? DH is drooling wanting to go this year.:lmao:

We (DR's wife here) made it to a total of 9 SWW days. Some days we stayed for a full day and others were just a couple of hours. The heat was oppressive and crowds were full force. We knew that we had time on our side so we were able to really "hunt" the characters. It was still challenging though to get them all - and actually we missed one bounty hunter.

We are actually going to be in town for all 4 weekends this time around, but I'm not sure about the first weekend. DR wants to brave it, but I'm actually a little concerned about the crowds. I'm sure we'll be over there at some point this weekend though.

We planning on going to the Studios tomorrow and scope out what we can ahead of time.

Well if you go to the Studios tomorrow chances are you can catch one of the soft openings of Star Tours. If you aren't concerned with seeing the opening ceremony, you might want to avoid on Friday. I will be live tweeting crowd pictures and info though, maybe it won't be as crowded as we are all making it out to be?
