Star Wars Weekend Tips 2012

Ark just opened...jake lloyd line longest

He signs fast and still doesn't talk much.:cool2: His line has been taking a few walk ups. So have the other celebrities, so check with the event sign up at Sounds Dangerous Stage for possible opportunities to get celebrities without fast passes.

Thanks!

What is "stage parking"? Are there CMs directing you where to park that early?

Question about the shows -- how long do they last? Particularly Stars of the Saga? TIA!

I meant that where you park you make note of where you are, say Simba, or Heroes, etc? The area of the parking up waaayyy close to the front of DHS is labelled Stage, and that's where you end up if you park there before 8AM.

Just met james and he is sooo awesome . He did 3 diferent voices from johnny test for my daughters phone...in line for behind the force...got silas carson for 1:45 and catherine, taber for 3:40...i'll check back later...forgot...went to darth mall this morning, pretty empty. My hubby bought me 2 her universe shirts using his 20% cm discount...win/win

OK, gotcha -- thanks so much!

How cool -- we love Johnny Test!

To mesaboy and anyone else...they have all weekends black and white, pre signed pics of celebs at the infodesk by sounds dangerous. Already witnessed 3 people dropping frpm, what I assume is heat...silas is very charming and talkative, onto catherine next.star tours is an hour long and chewie and vaders line is as well. Vader is the only character meeting during parade and he came out around 8 today hy

Hi everyone!
I worked tatooine last night and ran the build-a-droid line.
From 4 pm to around 6 pm the line was about 30 minutes long, it all varies and depends on how long it takes the people in front of you.

I recommend for build-a-droid, if you want to save time, come at the end of the night around 8:30 pm or so, there is hardly a line at all.

And from what I hear, we are out of the weekends 2012 donald as darth maul pin at tatooine and i believe darth's mall as well. I am not sure if we are getting any in or not.

Trams aren't running yet; we're parked so close though that we walk in. If you drive you tend to end up in Stage parking.

Was stopped by bjakmom and her DGrD and we said :wave2:and:chat:. Great meeting you! Met the most Lime Green Micky Head people today! Hi to Graysmom, SammyLee, another one who didn't mention her Avatar, and of course bjakmom. Red094, which one were you? I kept scanning Jake's line but couldn't tell.

Rides open at time of early park opening are TSM and Star Tours. ToT and RnRC open at 8 AM.

During the drizzling rain JTA was running. When it became a steady downpour I didn't see JTA running, but when it's steadily raining we're somewhere else. :rolleyes1

You'll be walking through Indiana Jones queue line. And it'll be a moving line, sign up is fast. If park opens just before 7:30, sign ups are done by 8, 8:10.

Keep track of your celebrity autograph time, ADR or show time you're planning to attend. If possible JTA time coincides at the time of your reservation, ask for a later JTA time period.

It's 7:22 and obviously we're not at DHS. Kids are knocked. out. Maybe we'll ph there today, but we managed to see quite a few celebrities yesterday. We have unlimited fast passes for MK that we're planning on using today, due to us being stuck in Pirates during EMH last nite and got a behind the scenes tour of Pirates after the CM jumped into the water and hauled our boat to shore. (tell more later tonite).

Gotta get the kids and hubby up.

Karpkg,

I have a hard time putting user names to faces. I think I am confusing you with the Meece family.

I am in Darth Mall right now. Will look for you inline in the morning if you are there.

Have a great day!!

Rick

Did they get the Mickey ears back in for the droids, they were out of them on Thursday.

I love this thread!! Sitting in yulilin (I think) "secret" spot for the Hoopla. Apologize for errors...on my smartphone trying to type! Got here at 7 am, got Ashley FP, watched stormtroopers, then went to AK for early EMH. Got back about 4 pm and from 4:15 to 5:00 we met all 4 Darth's Mall characters, including Luke, 3PO, and R2D2 together. Went to Ashley's line, now waiting for Hoopla. Will post more details later, but a big shout out to all the advice givers on this thread!! (And a special thanks to Kenny the Pirate...thanks to your character guide, I knew when to expect the droids at the mall!).

We scored Catherine Taylor's autograph via stand by this evening. Yes, we can sleep in tomorrow morning!!!! Thank you thank you thank you!!

This morning they didn't have any Mickey ears for the droids. When we asked about them the CM didn't know what we were talking about, just that they didn't have any. They also didn't have the lettering to name our droids. We were told that they may have them for tonight.

Currently at 50's prime time having dinner and will then try to score a spot for HSH.

Hope everyone had an awesome day!!,

Rick

I should clarify, with just the two of use it would have taken all three days to get all five autograph's. Catherine's line was really long when we arrived this morning. We were going to get up extra early to insure we got her autograph.

My son and I are both looking forward to not having to be here until 7:30 tomorrow.

The James Arnold Taylor show was over the top today! I you have not seen and you can get there tomorrow, it is a must see!!

Rick

I hope everyone had an awesome day today.

Couple of questions. We are going the last Sunday of sww. What time should my DH be in line to get Jeremy Bulloch's autograph, ideally in the first session? Also, my boys aren't ticketed because they're two. Can they go in the autograph session with him or do they need fast passes as well? We will be with two tow headed boys in a bright red double stroller. Say hi if you see us!

We had an awesome day today!
Arrived around 7:15, parked in Stage parking. We were about 10 families back from the turnstiles. DH headed to TSMM for fastpasses and I took kids to sign up for PMC. We were the first 2 to sign up for the 6:30 show. Then we headed to JTA sign ups and got the 11:15 show for that. Next rode Star Tours, then headed to Vader's line next and jumped in--only waited about 15 minutes and were thrilled with that! The kids loved JTA and the parade, although the crowds and heat at the parade were intense!
We finished the day with PMC at 6:30. If any of you were there, my DD was the little blonde with Leia buns that was one of the last 2 standing. All her reading of Star Wars visual dictionaries and encyclopedias paid off!
Thanks to everyone here for all the advice and information. We had such a great time, and all the tips here made that possible!!!

Was the 6:30 PMC about the original movies or Clone Wars?
