Star Wars Weekend question

If we went to MGM on a Sunday evening during Star Wars Weekends, say from 7 to 10pm, would we still be able to encounter some Star Wars characters? That would be our main objective, just to get some character photos, and buy some Star Wars souveniers, not necessarily to do any rides. I don't know how late the characters are available.

Probably not. We've gone to SWW the past 4 years and we always go at opening time and do everything Star Wars in the morning to early afternoon. Now, 2 years ago we went close to 7PM and that section was DEAD. The ride, shops, etc. were still open, but one of the CM's told me that all the SW characters had finished mingling with guests at 6PM. Whether this is still the case, I have no idea.

If you check the WDW calendar they say Star Wars Weekend events run from 9am-10pm which are the operating hours for the park. Based on past experience they have concluded the days events with a mix & mingle dance party in the area between Star Tours and the Back Lot Express Restuarant by 7PM so after then there are usually no characters around.

Likely no. Most of the events are over by 4 or 5pm.
