Does anyone know the dates for Star Wars Weekends 2006? Now that the park hours are out we can plan ahead - if I knew the dates for Star Wars! HELP, please and thank you.
I love the SWW. It will be interesting to see how crowded it will be as opposed to last year, when the release of Revenge of the Sith coincided with the weekends, and all the hype around it. But even still, it will be a madhouse as usual. A fun madhouse.
Could somebody tell me what sort of activities usually take place during SWW? DS is a SW freak, and I'm a Disney freak, so it seems like a good match but I'm never sure if it's really worth the trip.
I was talking to a CM at the gift shop where the ride dumps you into and he said that the line just to get into the store was 4 hours. They had the charaters from SW there and it was a huge mob scene. I cant imagine standing in line for 4 hours for anything. yikes
Earlier this year I thought I read that they extended Star Wars weekend through the 3rd week in June...anyone remember if this is true or not. Since we've decided to go in June, I'm interested in knowing...thanks.

Yes, they did extend it last year. But that was because of the popularity of the moment. Remember, it coincided with the release of the last Star Wars film ever, so the excitment and hype was at a fever pitch. People couldn't get enough. While it's possible they may do it again, there's no guarantee the same thing will happen this summer with no movie to help boost it up a little.

I was very happy they extended it because it moved to the weekends we were there. I would have moved the trip up if I could, but it was our honeymoon, and something about my wife wanting me to be there for the wedding or something outlandish.
It's a blast. We're waiting for the dates so we can reserve our room.
We were at Star Wars weekends this past May - it was awesome !! I have to say we also were there the day Revenge of the Sith came out so that added to the excitement. It was really a great weekend. It started with the stroomtroopers greeting while waiting for the park to open (go early and you get to see the show). There were different shows - and all kind of characters walking around (you could get pics with them) it was really awesome. We got pics with Darth Vader, Chewbacca, etc... We saw the Star Wars parade twice but we didn't do the Star Wars trivia or millioniare. But we are going back this May for another Star Wars weekend.
