New trailer released today!!

(I admit it - I squealed in delight!)

Have yet to watch the trailer, but everyone else seems very excited by it. We'll be in WDW when it comes out so we'll have to see about getting tickets at DTD.

I saw this but I waited to watch until I could get home and watch it on the big HD screen tv and sound system.
That first opening scene where your eyes are drawn in on the crashed X-wing, then you notice the crashed Imperial cruiser behind it....was like whoa!!!!!!! Then Mark Hamill's voice...chills

and then that last scene instantly made me think of this:

Hehe yeah, how come he hasn't aged?? He should probably be looking like Grandpa Wookiee from the Star Wars Christmas Special by now. :rotfl2:
Pedantic librarian person to the rescue!
Wookies live insanely long lives, upwards of 500 years. Chewbacca in the original films is something like over 200 years old. So he was, and still is, in the prime of life.
Yes, I know too much about this sort of thing.

I figured it must be something about Wookiees having extra long lifespans that I wasn't aware of. Thanks for the confirmation. :)

Dang, Grandpa Wookiee must have been reeeeeeeeeally old!

DH and I have watched it over and over and we're analyzing everything in the trailer! I didn't tell DH anything about it and just showed it to him. He said he got the chills when Luke spoke and then when he saw his hero, Han Solo.

We're also watching it constantly because we're the sci-fi geeks who are trying to make our unborn son into one as well :darth::chewy: Star Wars was the first movie I saw in a theatre, no joke; I was only 2 1/2 when it came out, but yes, my mother took me to see it. I was already hooked on Star Trek repeats, Battlestar Galactica, and Buck Rogers on TV at that point anyway...
