Last question. Are you charged when reservation is made, or day of?

Day of. They take your card number to hold the ressie, just like an ADR, but you are not charged in advance. You will pay in full when you check in at Savis right before your build time.

When we made ours a little under 60 days ago, since we are arriving on Sunday, I was able to get the Savi reservations for all 60+10 days (we are there for 10 days) and I was able to book them at midnight. I then booked the ADR’s at 6 am.

Mine just opened up, and it only shows me the 60th day so thats weird

EDIT: Opened up the next afternoon. Weird

Truly hoping someone can give me good news bc Im extremely frustrated right now!!! We opted to ship our Savis lightsaber from the Polynesian instead of bring it on the plane with us. We shipped all our bulky souvenirs. Our lightsaber has just arrived today BENT and broken, only lighting up halfway!! Im SO UPSET!! Anyone have this happen and have them make it right??

What time of the afternoon did it open, and were you hawking/refreshing the site all morning to get one, or did you just get lucky finding the time when they opened the 59.5+ day window?

I don't remember exactly. I think it was before 1pm est.

I will tell you, even now, the app does NOT show the dates open for me to book. The website does. And both dates still have times left. If your not at 60 days yet, wait till exactly midnight later tonight and book right away.

weird....do you have a stay at a hotel from 7/1 to 7/9? I am rereshing the site and 7/7 is still grey, 7/6 is blue, I can click, but nothing is available. are you saying there are times for 7/7 and 8 available?

I have a hotel stay in between those dates and after. I'm not sure why its not showing up for you. Do you have park tickets booked, and the date reserved ( I don't even know if you need to do this, but mine are )

Yes, there are times for the 7th and 8th available right now.

I know that reservations after the park closes are not uncommon - but I just realized that my reservation for Savi's is a full hour (actually 65 minutes) after the park closes on 6/5. Anyone else ever had one that much after park closing?

When I booked it, I remember thinking they were probably going to end up extending hours out to 9:00 that night, so a 9:05 pm reservation made sense. But less than 30 days out, and closing is still set for 8:00 pm.

I'm not worried about it or anything, and I'm sure we will find something to keep us busy, I just found it odd they were making reservations that much after park closing and wondered if that was common.

This is worse than trying to buy high demand concert tickets.

I'm wondering about the quality of the darksaber. How is the Disney one compared to the Black Series one? I know they have Ashoka's like that as well. Anyone notice a difference?

I'm cross posting b/c I think this thread is more appropriate (sorry for the dup): We have park hopper tickets and the Saturday we are there, have an AK reservation. My son is dying to build a droid, so we reserved a spot for that at Hollywood that evening. Anyone have any trouble keeping the droid reservation for a park where you don't have a reservation (but do have a hopper ticket). They let me book it, just curious if anyone else has experiences to share.

You should not have any issues at all, I have seen reports of people doing just what you are doing without any glitches.

Now, technically, if HS ends up closed to park hopping that day then you will not be allowed in to build the droid, and may be charged the no show fee. However, since hopping was reintroduced, no park has ever been closed to hopping. That issue is kind of out there, but I would not give it 2 seconds of concern.

We are doing the exact same thing as you. One day we have MK reservations, and Droid Depot reservations that afternoon. Another day we have Epcot reservations, and Savi's that night.

I don’t think the Black Series Force FX Elite ones are out yet, but i may be mistaken. We ordered one and we don’t get it until August. It’s a pre-order. I did see a couple of reviews of the one sold at Dok Ondars and I am so glad we pre-ordered the Black Series one. The Galaxys edge one is almost all plastic including the hilt, several of the reviewers were disappointed in that fact. the FX Elite one has a mostly metal hilt with a supposedly nice heft to it. We cant stand the blade of the Galaxys edge one, there is too much white on the edges with that little strip of black in the middle. The Elite one appears to have much more black in the middle.....we will see. And the FX Elite one is only $50 more. So even though we dont have it in person yet, I am quite happy with our choice.

I have the Darth Revan Black Series lightsaber and it's not as heavy duty as the Savi one. I haven't picked up a Legacy lightsaber yet.

Tell your friend to keep trying every day whenever the mood hits. They do get cancellations. I already had a reservation for the end of my trip and was able to pick up a another reservation for the beginning of our trip a few days before we left. Persistence is key. Also, if that doesn’t work out, when we went for our first appt the CM asked my hubby if he wanted to build also that day because they had several open spots due to day of cancels, so that is a possibility too.
