Star Wars Galactic Dessert Party

Hi all!

I just snagged two ressies on 5/1 hoping that means we'll get the viewing area for the new Wonderful World of Disney show prior to the Star Wars fireworks (anticipating that the crowds will be huge that evening). The current description for the party reads like they get you to the viewing area in time for the Movie Magic, but I'm unsure how early that is. Will we be in front by about 9 for 9:30 Star Wars fireworks?

I wouldnt worry. The 2 times I did the party, they had Stormtroopers march us all out to the viewing area with plenty of time for the projection show.
Enjoy! It really is a GREAT party, especially if you are a Star wars fan!

I wouldn't expect it to be that busy on 5/1. Except for Memorial day week, May is one of the slower periods. As mentioned, the Stormtroopers lead party Guests to the viewing area in time for the pre SWaGS show, but you can leave earlier if you wish. Also, you may want to reconsider being in the front of the viewing area, the better view is towards the rear of the viewing area. Many, including me, feel that the front of the dessert party's viewing area is too close. The best view is closer to and between the two projection towers.

Thank you both for your information!! I was concerned because 5/1 is the DHS 30th anniversary celebration and the new projection show is debuting that night. But it sounds like we should be fine.

Even if the park is busy, you’ll have a reserved area and be out there in time for the projection show. We really enjoyed the Star Wars party, the food and drinks are fun, short lines to meet the characters, and then marching out with the storm troopers is a kick.

We did the Star Wars party last week and loved it! Two Storm Troopers walked around Launch Bay the whole time interacting with party goers. We got in to see Kylo, Chewie, and BB8 with no wait. When it came time for fireworks we were escorted to a roped off viewing spot right in front of the theatre. We first saw the Movie Magic show then the Star Wars fireworks show. Got some cool Darth Vader mugs as the gift this time. They go good with our Chewbacca mugs from the last time.
