Star Wars and a Dream Cruise

We are family of 5 plus my mom and dad going on our 1st disney cruise. Kids will be 7,5,3 at the time of departure. We are so excited to meet everyone in this group. Please add us to your group and my parents to the fish extender please. We are new to this so please let us know how to get it started. We booked the early dinner but are thinking of switching to the late dinner. My kids would love to see the Mickey Pirate Show. Will they still be able to see the show if we did the 2nd seating? Seems to me I saw someone post that you can see the Mickey Pirate Show ( 20 mins) then go to dinner?

So much fun. You will love it. I'm not 100% sure about the party though. The fish extenders are awesome for adults and kids. DH and I cruised DCL in Feb. alone and enjoyed it so much we decided to take the kids lol lol
Our children will be 15,13,12 and 10:banana:

Hi everyone,
I am so glad that I found other people sailing early enough. This would be our second disney cruise. We did the Dream last year as well and we loved it so much that we booked it again for this year:cool1:
We are Disney fanatics- we even got married in Disney. Last year we did the Star Wars week-end prior to the cruise and it was great.
We did the FE last year and it was awesome the kids loved it - and I must admit it was really nice coming back to the room and finding little gifts!!! We would like to join the FE group if possible. It is myself, my husband Ro, my dd Sarah-3 and my ds-11. Last year my dd wasn't old enough to do the kids club and she wouldn't stay at the nursery:confused3 So this year hubby and I are hoping for some adult time!! We have first seating for dinner but I wasn't sure if maybe second seating would be better.

Well looking forward to sailing with everyone and here is to Happy Planningpixiedust:

Hi and Welcome Aboard to our merry group of Pirates :goodvibes
you sound so much like me we did our first sailing 2 years ago and knew we wanted to book again for the following year but we just could not do it . so we re-booked while on board and changed our date :cool1: and knew I could kill off another disney thing by going to SWW at the same time .

I will update the first page and add you to both of my lists the FE and the main list

Elizabeth ,
as per the Oceaneer's Club my kids never wanted to leave there , they even skipped dessert to have more time there . First let me say when you board and if you get on early like we did last time we had lunch then they let you scout the ship including the OC you can see how much stuff there is for the kids to do for all ages to do plus the CM are there doing little crafts and they interact with all the kids to make there freedom magical . hope this helps my kids are already plotting stuff to do there .

I will agree with you if I get too many i will break the groups down because it is a small cruise and I would not want to go crazy either :goodvibes

Thanks Disney67.
We can't wait!!! there was so many things we didn't get to do that we would like to try to do. Maybe you heard this- if you choose 2nd seating over 1st seating the kids can eat first and then the Oceaneer Club comes to get them to play while we finish eating?? Just wondering if that works with the 1st seting also:confused3 And any extra tips that you learned would be great to know.... hint hint.... spill the secrets:mic:

Hi Nannylisad,
You ds has nothing to worry about- you'll be lucky if you ever see him:rotfl2:
Last year my ds was 10 going to be 11 within 1 month and change. So we registered him for the Oceaneers Club as soon as we got on - but then we went to the Edge - that's the tween club (11-14) and we spoke to the counselor there and she spoke to our ds - I guess to see how mature he was -and they let him attend the tween club. The difference is at the Oceaneers Club - they have to badge in and out - at the Edge they come and go as they please. So we made a deal with ds and he had to call the wave phones if moved from where he was supposed to be. (a little threat with confining him to the state room if he was somewhere he wasn't supposed to be - with some parent spying also:cool2:) and he did great - they have sports activites, science experiements - there was some green goop in our stateroom fridge - one day- lol
I am hoping that my dd will stay at the Oceaneers Club this time- so she can enjoy new friends and fun games too.

We also did our stateroom door magnets - that was fun!!! We each have our own magnet- with our favorite characters - I do have to make a FE Extender though- I broker last years trying to get off the fish:eek:

It seems like every cruise you learn a little new trick here and there!! I can't wait to see what we learn this time.

I also have to get ready for Star Wars week-end!! It's a busy time of year!!

Take Care and stay well!!!

Thanks Disney67.

there was also alot of stuff we did not due to me i had pulled muscles in my leg 2 weeks before my trip so most of the trip i was walking with crutches , wife and kids did a few more things then i did :sad1: ,
but i had a great time with alot of help from 2 very special Dis'ers they showed us the ship and they enjoyed our first cruise thru our eyes.
all i know is you are right that for 2nd seating they feed the kids asap the oceaneers club comes and takes the kids :woohoo::woohoo: Daddy and mommy peace and quite !! do not know if they do that for first seating but i can look into that easily ? waiting on a reply from my TA she is awesome i should know within a day or so ?

It seems like every cruise you learn a little new trick here and there!! I can't wait to see what we learn this time. i also agree you learn new things every trip i love learning including at wdw im still learning

I do not know if you know about wearing your bathing suit under your clothes while boarding ? this alway is a favorite to alot of people

as i remember i will post anything if there is anything else we can help just ask ?

So for those who have done a small and large ship what are your thoughts ?

We have cruised the Wonder but never the Dream :0)
