In TV networks in between CBS ABC and FOX NBC had always been the king of the networks because when it first began NBC had something for everyone and you knew that when the famous NBC Chimes melody would be heard you would be getting a good show because NBC was known for quality shows and a great lineup. But the biggest year I think that NBC was most successful was in 1982 when Cheers St. Elsewhere and Family Ties made their debuts and if it weren't for good viewership ratings St. Elsewhere Cheers and Family Ties wouldn't have become giant hits. But the worst thing NBC did and I don't why they did it was ending their Saturday morning cartoon lineup in 1991 and why they replaced it with a Saturday edition of the Today Show is a mystery because the cartoons got good ratings but replacing the whole Saturday morning cartoon lineup with the Saturday edition of Today made no sense at all then they tried appealing to teens with the TNBC lineup with Saved By The Bell California Dreams and later the basketball sitcom Hang Time and that meant NBC wanted to attract the teen market with this lineup. But what I think NBC should do is have a daytime morning game show block because NBC LOVES game shows and it shocks me that NBC hasn't had a successful game show since Deal Or No Deal in 2005 and a daytime game show block could work for NBC on weekday mornings. But with the 100th birthday approaching NBC will start to improve itself and be more like CBS
